Official Boons

Boon of Combat Prowess

When you miss with a melee weapon attack, you can choose to hit instead. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Dimensional Travel

As an action, you can cast the misty step spell, without using a spell slot or any components. Once you do so, you can't use this boon again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Fate

When another creature that you can see within 20 meters of you makes an ability check, an attack roll, or a saving throw, you can roll a d10 and apply the result as a bonus or penalty to the roll. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Fortitude

Your hit point maximum increases by 40.

Boon of High Magic

You gain one 9th-level spell slot, provided that you already have one.

Boon of Immortality

You stop aging. You are immune to any effect that would age you, and you can't die from old age.

Boon of Invincibility

When you take damage from any source, you can reduce that damage to 0. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Irresistible Offense

You can bypass the damage resistances of any creature.

Boon of Luck

You can add a d10 roll to any ability check, attack roll, or saving throw you make. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Magic Resistance

You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Boon of Peerless Aim

You can give yourself a +20 bonus to a ranged attack roll you make. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Perfect Health

You are immune to all diseases and poisons, and you have advantage on Constitution saving throws.

Boon of Planar Travel

When you gain this boon, choose a plane of existence other than the Material Plane. You can now use an action to cast the plane shift spell (no spell slot or components required), targeting yourself only, and travel to the chosen plane, or from that plane back to the Material Plane. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Quick Casting

Choose one of your spells of 1st through 3rd level that has a casting time of an action. That spell's casting time is now a bonus action for you.

Boon of Recovery

You can use a bonus action to regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum. Once you use this boon, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Boon of Resilience

You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical weapons.

Boon of Skill Proficiency

You gain proficiency in all skills.

Boon of Speed

Your walking speed increases by 10 feet. In addition, you can use a bonus action to take the Dash or Disengage action. Once you do so, you can't do so again until you finish a short rest.

Boon of Spell Mastery

Choose one 1st-level sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell that you can cast. You can now cast that spell at its lowest level without expending a spell slot.

Boon of Spell Recall

You can cast any spell you know or have prepared without expending a spell slot. Once you do so, you can't use this boon again until you finish a long rest.

Boon of the Fire Soul

You have immunity to fire damage. You can also cast burning hands (save DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Night Spirit

While completely in an area of dim light or darkness, you can become invisible as an action. You remain invisible until you take any action.

Boon of the Stormborn

You have immunity to lightning and thunder damage. You can also cast thunderwave (save DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Unfettered

You have advantage on ability checks made to resist being grappled. In addition, you can use an action to automatically escape a grapple or free yourself of restraints of any kind.

Boon of Truesight

You have truesight out to a range of 20 metres.

Boon of Undetectability

You gain a +10 bonus to Stealth checks, and you can't be detected or targeted by divination magic, including scrying sensors.

Homebrew Boons

Boon of Increasing Magic

You gain a spell slot one level higher than your current highest level spell slot, provided that you have any. This boon cannot grant spell slots above 9th level. You may receive this boon multiple times.

Boon of Proliferating Magic

Choose two spell slot levels other than 9th that you have at least one of; you gain an additional spell slot for each of them. You may receive this boon multiple times.

Boon of Great Wielding

You may treat weapons that you are wielding in one hand as if you are wielding them in two hands.

Boon of Greater Wish

If you lost the ability to cast wish by suffering its stress, you regain the ability to cast it. You no longer suffer the stress of casting wish as listed in the spell description. You instead suffer the following effects when you cast wish to produce any effect other than duplicating another spell:

  • Each time you Cast a Spell until you finish a Long Rest, you take 1d8 necrotic damage per level of that spell. This damage can't be reduced or prevented in any way.
  • Your Strength drops to 3, if it isn't 3 or lower already, for 1d6 days. For each of those days that you spend Resting and doing nothing more than light activity, your remaining recovery time decreases by 2 days.

Boon of Amazing Feats

You gain any three feats, provided you meet the prerequisites for them.

Boon of Superhuman Ability

You gain three ability score increases.

Boon of Racial Oneness

You gain up to four racial traits of your choosing, other than ability score increases. You are considered part of the race that a trait comes from, in addition to your original race. You may receive this boon multiple times.

Boon of Divine Power

One of your ability scores, as well as its maximum, increases by 4. You cannot increase an ability score past 30 with this method.

Boon of Action

On your turn, you can take one additional action on top of your regular action and a possible bonus action. Once you use this boon, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.

Boon of Proficiency

Your proficiency bonus increases by 1.

Boon of Legendary Action

You gain one legendary action, which you can take only at the end of another creature's turn, choosing from the options below. You regain spent legendary actions at the start of your turn.

  • Attack. You make one melee attack.
  • Move. You move up to half your speed.
  • Cantrip. You cast a cantrip.
  • Spell (Costs 2 Actions). You cast a spell of 1st level or higher.

You may take this boon multiple times. Each time you do, you gain an additional legendary action. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time.

Boon of Legendary Resistance

If you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead. Once you use this boon, you cannot use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Boon of Combat Proficiency

You can add double your proficiency bonus to attacks you make that you are proficient with.

Boon of Spellcasting

You gain three spell slots; two of 1st level and one of 2nd level. Additionally, you learn two cantrips and four spells of up to 2nd level. Your spellcasting ability for these spells is your highest score out of Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma.

Boon of Impenetrable Skin

You have a damage threshold of 12.

Boon of Lost Magic

You gain a 10th level spell slot, provided that you have at least two spell slots of both 8th and 9th level. Spells cast with this spell slot deal double damage.

Boon of the Heaven Gifted

You have immunity to radiant damage. You can also cast guiding bolt (attack roll +7) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Ki Spirit

You have immunity to force damage. You can also cast magic missile at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Icy Heart

You have immunity to cold damage. You can also cast ice knife (save DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Hellspawn

You have immunity to necrotic damage. You can also cast inflict wounds (attack roll +7) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Psychic Mind

You have immunity to psychic damage. You can also cast dissonant whispers (save DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of the Poisoned Body

You have immunity to poison damage. You can also cast ray of sickness (attack roll +7, save DC 15) at will, without using a spell slot or any components.

Boon of Fluctuating Energy

You can cast chaos bolt (attack roll +7) at will, without using a spell slot or any components. When you cast it this way, you gain immunity to the damage types dealt by that casting until the start of your next turn.
