Affliction
These gods, such as Pharika, Asclepius, or Al-Ishtus, hold sway over the elements of the world that causes pain or suffering. From grief to poison to old age, they hold knowledge and influence over how they affect mortals. They aren't only inflictors of pain and suffering, but they also are able to ease it -- aiding or providing medicinal or apothecary knowledge in relation to diseases or poisons and their underlying or unknown healing properties.

Bonus Proficiencies
At 1st level, you gain proficiency in either the Medicine or Nature skill (your choice), and you gain proficiency with the herbalism kit and the poisoner’s kit.
Blessing of Malady
At 1st level, you can infuse your strikes with delirious, otherworldly venom. When you make a successful attack, you can force the creature you attack to make a Constitution saving throw against your cleric spell save DC. On a failed save it becomes poisoned for 1 minute. If the creature was already poisoned, they suffer 2d8 acid or poison damage (your choice) on a failed saving throw, and half as much damage on a successful one.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Siphon Despair
Also at 1st level, you can siphon grief and despair from nearby creatures and invigorate others. When a creature within 5 feet of you fails an ability check, fails a saving throw, or becomes frightened, you can use your reaction to restore 2d4 + your Wisdom modifier hit points to a creature within 10 feet that you can see.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Channel Divinity: Gaze of Affliction
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to use your gaze to cripple creatures. As an action, you direct your gaze on a creatures within 30 feet that you can see and that can see your eyes. The creature makes a must make a Constitution saving throw against your cleric spell save DC. A creature that fails the save becomes blinded, paralyzed, and gains a level of exhaustion.
Affected creatures make another Constitution saving throw at the end of each of their turns. On a successful save, a creature is no longer blinded and paralyzed.
Venomous Insight
At 6th level, your divinity offers you wisdom in the ways of suffering. Choose one of the following damage types: acid, poison, or necrotic. You gain resistance to that damage type. Damage from magical weapons or silver weapons ignores this resistance.
In addition, when you deal damage with the chosen damage type it ignores resistance to the damage type and treats immunity to the damage type as resistance. You can change this damage type when you finish a short or long rest.
Blessed Strikes
Starting at 8th level, you are blessed with divine might. When a creature takes damage from one of your spells or weapon attacks, you can also deal 1d8 poison damage to that creature. Once you deal this damage, you can’t use this feature again until the start of your next turn.
Ruinous Sight
At 17th level, your Gaze of Affliction is empowered against feeble-willed creatures. If a creature fails the save by 5 or more, they become petrified instead of paralyzed.
In addition you become immune to disease, poison, and if you were to die you can’t become undead.
