Font of Magic Options

2nd-level sorcerer feature (enhances Font of Magic)

When you gain the Font of Magic feature, you get access to the following ways to spend your sorcery points.

Empowering Reserves

When you make an ability check on your turn, you can spend 2 sorcery points to gain advantage on the check.

Imbuing Touch

As an action, you can touch one nonmagical weapon and spend 2 sorcery points to imbue it with magic for 1 minute. For the duration, the weapon is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming immunity and resistance to nonmagical attacks.

Sorcerous Fortitude

As an action, you can spend any number of sorcery points to roll a d4 for each point expended. You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the total rolled.

Metamagic Options

3rd-level sorcerer feature (enhances Metamagic)

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to twist your spells to suit your needs. You gain three Metamagic options of your choice, and another one at 6th, 10th, 14th, and 17th level. Every time you gain a new Metamagic option, you can exchange one option you have already selected with a different option.

You can use only one Metamagic option on a spell when you cast it, unless otherwise noted.

Additionally, you can choose from the following Metamagic options in addition to those from the Player's Handbook:

Disruptive Spell

When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that affects one or multiple creatures, you can spend 3 sorcery points to end any spell of the same level or lower on one of those creatures. Alternatively, when you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that affects an area, you can spend 3 sorcery points to end any spell of the same level or lower on one object or magical effect in that area.

Elemental Spell

When you cast a spell that deals a type of damage from the following list, you can spend 1 sorcery point to change that damage type to one of the other listed types: acid, cold, fire, lightning, thunder.

Lingering Spell

When you cast a spell that has a duration of Instantaneous and affects an area, you can spend 1 sorcery point to make its effects linger until the beginning of your next turn. Any creature that enters the area for the first time suffers the effects of the spell, but all damage it takes is halved and it makes all saving throws with advantage.

Invigorating Spell

When you cast a spell that targets one creature, you can spend 1 sorcery point to have either the target or yourself gain temporary hitpoints equal to the spell's level + your Charisma modifier (minimum 1).

Resilient Spell

When you cast a spell that requires concentration, you can spend 1 sorcery point to make it easier to maintain. The first time you fail a saving throw made to maintain concentration on the spell, you can choose to succeed instead.

You can use Resilient Spell even if you have already used a different Metamagic option during the casting of the spell.

Seeking Spell

When you cast a spell that requires you to make a spell attack roll or that forces a target to make a Dexterity saving throw, you can spend 1 sorcery point to ignore the effects of half and three-quarters cover against targets of the spell.

Shaped Spell

When you cast a spell that affects an area in a radius of 5 feet or greater, you can spend up to 2 sorcery points to increase or decrease the radius by 5 feet for every sorcery point you spend, to a minimum of 5 feet.

When you cast a spell that affects an area in a cone, you can spend up to 2 sorcery points to increase or decrease the length of the cone by up to 5 feet for every sorcery point you spend, to a minimum of 5 feet.

Tenacious Spell

By spending 1 sorcery point, you make a spell you cast exceptionally difficult to counter. Whenever a creature uses a spell or ability that allows it to end or foil your spell (such as dispel magic and counterspell), it must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or the spell or ability has no effect on your spell.

Unerring Spell

If you make an attack roll for a spell and miss, you can spend 2 sorcery points to reroll the attack roll. You must use the result of the second roll.

You can use Unerring Spell even if you have already used a different Metamagic option during the casting of the spell.

Sorcerer's Will

20th-level sorcerer feature (replaces Sorcerous Restoration)

At 20th level, all Metamagic options become available to you, and you regain 4 expended sorcery points whenever you finish a short rest.

Additionally, whenever you spend sorcery points to create a spell slot or use a Metamagic option, the cost is reduced by 1, to a minimum of 1.
