# Martial Archetype: Hollow Knight ## Hollow Soul Starting at 3rd level, a void begins to grow in your soul, and it seeks to fill the emptiness that it leaves behind. You are able to harness the void inside you to draw in portions of the energy that gives creatures life. Whenever you hit a creature with CR greater than 0 with a melee attack you you gain 1 Soul. You can hold up to a maximum of 3 Soul and you can hold 1 additional Soul at levels 8, 13 and 18 in this class. While the void inside you is strong enough to pull the energy into you, it cannot hold it forever. You lose all soul you have gained whenever you finish a short or long rest. ## Vengeful Spirit Starting at 3rd level, you can expend the Soul you have gathered inside you to damage those before you. As a part of your Attack action, you can replace any number of the attacks with special Vengeful Spirit attacks, expending 1 soul for every attack you replace. Make a single attack roll for all creatures within a 15ft by 5 ft line in front of you. All creatures hit take 1d6 + Constitution Modifier force damage. The damage dice increases to 1d8 at level 10 and 1d10 at level 17 in this class. ## Shade Cloak At 7th level, your experience with the void inside you has granted you better control over it and you can use it to launch yourself. As a bonus action you can dash 15ft in a direction of you choice. This movement does not trigger attacks of opportunity. You do not lose altitude during this movement if you are in the air. ## Focused Recovery At 10th level, you can use the Soul you have gather to rejuvenate yourself. When you use your Second Wind feature you can expend all your movement and any amount of Soul to restore an additional 1d4 + Constitution Modifier health for each Soul spent. ## Desolate Dive At 15th level, whenever you would fall you can instead to launch yourself towards the ground. You can use your Reaction when you fall to reduce any Falling damage you take by an amount equal to five times your Fighter level. All creatures within 10ft of your point of landing must make a DC15 strength saving throw or be knocked prone. Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or Long Rest before you can use it again. \columnbreak ## Shade Spirits At 18th level, you have mastered the void inside you and can use it to better hold and condense your Soul. Once per turn when you would make an attack with your Vengeful Spirit feature you can expend up to 2 additional Soul to roll 1 additional damage dice per Soul spent. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution Modifier and regain all uses upon finishing a long rest.
