Argynvostholt - Unfinished Business
Introduction
The mausoleum of Argynvostholt is being sealed by Vladimir's hatred. It's using the revenants as amplifiers for its power, and the seal will not open for anything. In order to break the seal, characters must free three of the five revenants of Argynvostholt by helping them to complete their unfinished business.
Once a revenant's unfinished business is complete, their soul will be free of the hatred that Vladimir uses to tie them to their undead bodies.
The Knights of the Order
Sir Godfrey Gwilym
Godfrey's unfinished business is the redemption of his former lover, Vladimir. As such, he cannot be redeemed by the direct actions of the characters.
Sir Robern Teray
Thanks to Strahd's invasion, Sir Robern never got to see the face of his newborn son. He wishes the characters to deliver his sole possession—the Teray family crest—to his latest direct descendant. If they agree, the characters must trace the Teray family line through incomplete records and hearsay, starting in Vallaki.
Arthund Boarwin
At fifteen years old, Arthund was not a knight. Instead, he was a squire who worked for the order, in hopes of being one day trained by its greatest warrior, Vladimir Horngaard. Before his dream could be realized, he was cut down in the halls of Argynvost by Strahd's forces.
Characters may agree to take Arthund along with them on a "heroic quest" so that Arthund can finally be a hero. Acceptable duties are rescuing damsels or defeating powerful foes. Whatever the characters choose, Arthund will not aid them directly against Strahd.
Sir Damian Hargrove
Damian was the engineer of the order, and was responsible for building and maintaining the ballistas located on the mansion's roof. In life, they were his pride and joy. During the battle against Strahd's forces, the ballistas were destroyed.
In order to free Sir Damian, characters will need to provide him with the raw materials necessary to repair the ballistas.

- 100 feet of hempen rope
Sir Erich Norinthaal
Sir Erich was a renowned hunter in his lifetime. Just before his death, he aimed to set out on an expedition to hunt and kill the roc of Mount Ghakis.
In order to free Erich, the characters will need to accompany him on one last hunting trip up the mountain. Erich will help the character navigate their way up the mountain and through its hazardous conditions, all the way to the roc's nest at the summit of Mount Ghakis.
