Executioner

By @homebrewlesbian

Executioners are brutal masters of weaponry and anatomy. Generally grim and considered to be cruel, they are methodical killers that specialize in ending a fight before it has even begun.

Anatomical Executioner

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Intimidation and Medicine. skills if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies.

Additionally, some of your abilities require your targets to make saving throws to resist its effects. Your DC is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier.

Make Them Kneel

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your critical hits automatically knock Medium creatures or smaller prone, Huge and larger creatures must succeed a Strength saving throw. While a creature is prone, your weapon attacks score a critical hit automatically.

Stabilize

You are as merciful to your allies as you are cruel to your foes. You may use an action to touch a living creature that has 0 hit points, restore them to 1 hit point and instill them with temporary hit points equal to 1d10 + your Constitution modifier.

Finishing Blow

At 10th level, you've perfected the practice of striking your foes at their weakest. As an action, you may forgo your attacks and choose to force a creature below 40 hit points within range of your weapon and force them to make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they immediately are reduced to zero hit points. On a success, they take damage equal to a single weapon attack.

You may use this ability a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier and regain uses of this ability after a long rest.

Knight of Mortality

At 15th level, you seek to command your enemies' attention and shield your allies from harm. You may cast Compelled Duel without needing to concentrate a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier.

You regain all uses of this ability after a long rest.

Improved Finishing Blow

At 18th level, you may use your Finishing Blow against creatures below 80 hit points.

Author's Notes

My goal with this subclass was to make an executioner that didn't just feel like a murderhobo to the extreme. It was interesting to look at the skills of an exectioner and their position in society to determine the type of abilities to bring to this class.
