# Elemental Chaos Genasi The offspring of a Changeling and a Genie of any element, Chaos Genasi are normally indistinguishable from other genasi. However, they disguise an incredible volatility. Very rarely, reports reach researcher's desks of genasi that suddenly undergo an incredible transformation... ### Chaos Genasi Traits Your traits are those of the Genasi subrace that you currently are. Your ability scores do not change, however. #### Elemental Transformation Your Chaos manifests itself in different ways. Select one of the following Chaos Manifestations. Additionally, you gain access to the expanded Genasi spell list below. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells. ## Air Genasi: *gust, message* Earth Genasi: *mold earth, magic stone* Fire Genasi: *control flames* Water Genasi: *frostbite* ## **Chaos Dreamer**. When you take a long rest, roll a d4. On a 1, your race changes to that of an Air Genasi if you are not one already. Similarly, on a 2, you become an Earth Genasi, on a 3, you become a Fire Genasi, and on a 4, you become a Water Genasi. Once you reach 3rd level, you can roll twice and choose either number. **Elemental Defense.** When you take damage from wind (thunder), earth (acid), fire, or water (cold), you begin a transformation process. At the end of your next long rest, you transform into the genasi subrace with the element equal to the damage taken. Only the first instance of damage taken this way counts for this effect. At 3rd level, you gain the *Elemental Adept* feat. **Elemental Offense**. Same as *Elemental Defense*, but happens when you deal, rather than are dealt, elemental damage. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast *absorb elements* as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability #### Decreasing Entropy At 20th level, you can choose the race you transform into whenever your Chaos Manifestation is triggered. > ##### Other Damage Type Triggers > The GM may decide that other damage types constitute a transformation trigger for *Elemental Defense* or *Elemental Offense*. Examples include BPS damage dealt by wind-manipulating spells (air), falling damage and BPS damage from rocks or plants (earth), or BPS damage dealt by water (water).
