Druid: Circle of the Sword

Masters of melee combat, druids of the circle of swords are extremely battle-hardened. They are tribal warrior-shamans, forest guardians, and fierce hunters of the ones who dare to mutilate and pervert the natural world. They often ally themselves with druids of the circle of the moon, along with paladins of the oath of the ancients. These druids seek to preserve and protect the natural worlds and processes, by absolutely any means necessary.

Circle Spells

2nd-level Circle of the Sword feature

You have specialized in learning magic suited to augmenting your combat capabilities. At 2nd level, you learn the green-flame blade cantrip.

When you reach certain levels in this class, you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of Swords Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day, and it counts as a druid spell for you.

9th banishing smite, steel wind strike

Cut Back the Corruption

Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to bond yourself with one weapon. At the end of a long rest, you may magically bond with one weapon which lacks the heavy and two-handed properties.

You count as proficient with this weapon, and when you make attacks with that weapon, you can use your Wisdom modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for attack and damage rolls. It cannot be forcefully taken from you, and you can make it appear in your hand or within 10 feet of you as a bonus action on your turn. In addition, you can use it as a spellcasting focus for your druid spells.

Should you bind yourself to another weapon, the first weapon immediately loses these bonuses.

Nature's Ward

At 6th level, you can use a bonus action to give yourself and up to 3 other creatures within 30 feet of you that you can see temporary hit points equal to twice your druid level + your Wisdom modifier, which last for 4 hours or until you take a rest. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

Also at this level, when you make an attack with your bound weapon, you can attack twice instead of once.

Give no Quarter

Beginning at 10th level, you can magically augment your bound weapon. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it, and it counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming damage resistances and immunities to non-magical damage.

Also beginning at this level, you can spend one use of your Wild Shape feature to deal an additional 2d10 damage to a target you hit with a melee attack. At 15th level, when you use this feature, this damage ignores resistance.

Guardian of the Wilds

Starting at 14th level, you become a spirit of retribution and a primordial guardian of the wilds. You gain resistance to one damage type of your choice, which you can change when you complete a long rest.

As an action, you can declare the nearby land as under your protection. Heavy plant growth erupts in a 100 ft radius, centered on you, which last for 10 minutes. Every creature of your choice within the area must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your spell save DC or become restrained for the duration; any affected creature may attempt the saving throw again as an action on their turn, breaking free on a success. Pass or fail, any creature that was forced to make that saving throw must expend 4 feet of movement to for every 1 foot travelled while they are within the affected terrain and within 10 feet of the ground.

While you are within the affected terrain, you regain one use of your Wild Shape feature at the end of your turn.

The plant growth can be burnt away by any effect that states it burns something. As a bonus action on your turn, you may regrow up to 50 square feet of plant growth.

Once you use this ability, you cannot do so again until you complete a long rest.
