Sorcerous Origin: Stygian Blooded

Your innate magic is fueled by the inky waters running through your veins. To be born of Styx, is to be blessed with the strength of the gods, but at a price. The toxic water of Styx is potent enough to cause fear to fiends and gods alike, for one sip is fatal to mortals.

The goddess Styx, for which her river was named, values oaths and bonds above all else. Breaking your vow, especially one made with her name, befalls onto you a fate worse than death - a fate even gods fear.

You are born with the ichor of Styx in your veins. Perhaps you bathed in the river, and somehow survived. Mayhaps you are the result of centuries of honored vows, blessed by the goddess herself for she has plans for you. Or possibly you were born of the waters as a consequence to any oathbreakers you find along your way. No matter how it came to be, you are living manifestation of how much power an oath holds; a broken promise contains.

Origin Spells

If you are using the Tweaked Sorcerer homebrew, or just Origin Spells, then here is a list of spells that you gain at the sorcerer levels on the Origin Spells table. Once you gain an origin spell, you always know it, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you know.

If you have an origin spell that doesn't appear on the sorcerer spell list, the spell is nonetheless a sorcerer spell for you.

In addition, you learn the blade ward cantrip, which doesn't count against the number of sorcerer cantrips you know. For you, the spell is concentration for up to 1 minute. Whenever you take a critical hit from an attack while concentrating on this spell, the spell drops before you take the damage from the attack.

Bathe in Black

At 2nd level, as an action you can touch one nonmagical object and spend 2 sorcery points to imbue it with magic for 1 minute. For the duration, the object is considered magical for the purpose of overcoming immunity and resistance to nonmagical attacks.

River of Ichor

Starting at 6th level, you wade through battle with ease and blood in your wake. When you hit with an attack or spell, you can spend 2 sorcery points to add your Charisma modifier to the damage you deal with the attack or spell.

When you would be hit by an attack, you can spend 2 sorcery points as a reaction to reduce the attack roll by your Charisma modifier.

Stygian Ice

At 14th level, you gain the ability to summon the waters of Styx as weaponized ice. You learn the armor of agathys, ice knifeXGTE p.157, and investiture of iceXGTE p.159 spells, which doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know.

Whenever a creature fails its saving throw against a spell you cast that deals cold damage, or you hit a creature with a spell attack that deals cold damage, the target takes necrotic damage equal to half your sorcerer level at the start of their next turn.

Immortal Blood

Beginning at 18th level, your blood flows like the currents of River Styx granting you a state of immortality. You no longer age, nor can be aged by magical means. You gain resistance to all non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Whenever you take a critical hit from an attack, you lose this benefit until the end of your next turn.

Additionally, when you die, you are revived the next dawn at the nearest body of water, as if true resurrection had been cast on you. You possess all the equipment you wore or carried at the time of your death, even if your body was destroyed by disintegrate or similar effects; equipment taken from your body after death reappears with you, vanishing from its current location. If there is no body of water on the plane you died on, you can't be resurrected this way. Once you are resurrected by this feature, you cannot be resurrected by it again until 7 days have passed.
