The Burning One

You have made a pact with Kithregis, the otherworldly mother of fire and smoke, and the last surviving deity of the extinct Xaarnothi pantheon. Once revered by this ancient empire at the farthest corners of the world, she now grants powers to the brave few souls that delve into the ruins of Xaarnoth, and in exchange they must spread her name around the world, that she might one day be worshipped as she was before.

2nd Fire Tendril, Ignite Weapon
3rd Fireball, Terrify
4th Storm of Smoke, Insidious Branding
5th Ruinous Flames, Fume of Chaos

Smoke of Protection

Starting at 1st level, your armour is imbued with Kithregis' magic, causing it to give off a hazy, smoky aura that makes you harder to focus on in combat. Your starting armour is already imbued but you may perform a 1 hour ritual to imbue another set of armour or clothing with this magic, which removes the effect from the original armour. This magic gives you a +2 increase to your AC, provided you are wearing light or no armour and are not wielding a shield. Armour or clothing which is already magical cannot be imbued. In addition to this, the firebolt cantrip is added to your warlock spell list.

Beguiling Fumes

At 6th level, your patron feels the need to aid you in more diplomatic pursuits. Once per long rest, you can change the scent of your smoky aura to suit your charismatic endeavours, which lasts for 1 hour. For performance, persuasion and deception, a pleasing, enchanting aroma. For intimidation, the smell of acrid smoke and burning flesh. This gives you a bonus to any Charisma skill rolls equal to half your level in this class, rounded up.

Undying Fires

At 10th level, Kithregis gives strength to the fires you summon with magic. Any fire damage dealt by a spell you cast ignores resistance, and cannot be extinguished by nonmagical means or spells cast at a lower spell slot than that of the spell you cast. Your pact also gives you resistance to fire damage, if you are not already resistant. Finally, any melee attacks you make with a weapon deal additional fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.

Rage of Empires Fallen

At 14th level, Kithregis has shown you the fall of the civilisation that worshipped her, sharing with you the utter despair and anger she experienced as she watched them crumble to dust. Channelling her magic, you can inflict this rage upon your enemies. As an action, you can open a smoking portal to Kithregis' realm, through which she will reach and grab the nearest hostile creature in her fiery hand, dealing 4d8 bludgeoning damage and 6d10 fire damage, before throwing them 30 feet backwards, where they will land prone. Alternatively, you can target structures with this ability, and the hand of Kithregis will pummel and burn anything it can reach for 1 minute before retreating to her realm. You can cast the portal anywhere you can see within a 150 foot range, and you can use this ability once every long rest.

Exotic Arcanum

In addition to the unique spells added to your warlock spell list, Kithregis has granted you a powerful bespoke spell for each spell level of 6th and above, which is added to your warlock spell list, to be used via your mystic arcanum ability.
