# Sun-Kissed Drow Even before Drow-kind accepted magic and split into two populations on the continent of Kathuraz, a steady stream of them disregarded their heritage. There had to be more beyond the darkness of the earth, and so they left. ### Cave dwellers to Mountainfolk Initially these Drow settled in the highest mountains of the Fathira Mountains, to be as close to the sun as possible. From there, they slowly travelled across the continent and beyond. It was a long and arduous process for these Drow to change, but their devotion to the sun, despite their aversion to it, eventually changed them. Now these drow come in skin ranges from their old grey to more tan skin with orange hues. In the same way, their hair changed as well, and eventually, their innate magic came to shine. ### Sun-Kissed Drow Traits Your Sun-Kissed Drow character has a variety of abilities, changed through thousands of years of evolution from their former Drow ancestors. **Ability Score Increase.** Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1. **Age.** Through their hard transformation from cave dwellers to sun loving creatures, Sun-Kissed Drow have lost a little of their long life span. Sun-Kissed Drow mature around 30-40 years old, and live up to 600-700 years old. **Size.** Sun-Kissed Drow range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and come in all kinds of builds. Your size is Medium. **Speed.** Your base walking speed is 30 feet. **Darkvision.** Part of your Drow heritage has remained in your sight. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern colour in darkness, only shades of grey. **Tough.** Through sheer willpower the Sun-Kissed Drow have changed their fate. They did so with their skill of turning even the harshest lands into their home. You have proficiency in the Survival skill. **Languages.** You can speak, read, and write Common and Elvish. **Sun-Kissed Drow Magic.** You know the *dancing lights* cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the *searing smite* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the *daylight* spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. **Sun-Kissed Drow Armor Training.** You have proficiency with light and medium armour. **The Sun’s Radiance.** Blessed by the sun’s radiance, as a bonus action, you can assume a somewhat glowing form. You radiate warmth and comfort, and have advantage on your next Persuasion roll. Alternately, this warmth can amplify healing by 1d4, or damage a foe for 1d4 radiant damage on your next hit with a weapon or a spell. You regain this ability when you finish a long rest. The die of your additional healing or damage increased to a d6 on 5th level, a d8 on 9th level, a d10 on 14th level, and a d12 on 20th level.
