### Jar of Atonement
*Sentient wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement by an evil or neutral aligned creature)*

This average looking mason jar glows dimly with the soul of the celestial that is imprisoned inside it, emitting dim light in a 5-foot radius. A handful of copper and silver pieces can be seen rattling inside of it (2d6 of each).

**Sentience**. The trapped celestial is sentient and aware of any creature within 30 feet of it. It is Lawful Good, has Intelligence 16 (+3), Wisdom 20 (+5), Charisma 20 (+5), and has proficiency on Insight checks (+9). It knows Common and Celestial, and can communicate telepathically with any creature in range.

**Heart Sense**. The trapped celestial automatically knows the alignment of any creature within 30 feet of it.

**Divine Prison.** The jar is a magical prison containing a celestial. It has AC 13, 15 hit points, and is immune to psychic and poison damage, but it cannot be deliberately harmed by any creature other than the user and creatures they designate. If the jar ever shatters, it loses its magic as a Deva appears in the nearest unoccupied space.

**Deva's Blessing.** The celestial is willing to help any creature that promises to seek repentance for its sins. A creature attuned to this item can cast the following spells at the specified level (spell save DC 17), requiring no material components.

Immediately after casting one of these spells, the user must roll a d20. If the roll is equal to or less than the spell's level, the jar shatters and a Deva appears, otherwise the user suffers disadvantage on attack rolls and Wisdom saving throws for 1 minute as the celestial attempts to steer it towards good.

If the attuned creature becomes good-aligned, the jar opens automatically after 1d4 days.
