Mecha Rathian: Biology
Introduction
The Mecha Rathian is a variation of the traditional Rathian, the female counterpart of the Rathalos, and classified as part of the Flying Wyverns.
There are notable changes between the common Rathian and its Mecha version, here are some of them:
- A Mecha Rathian has been mechanically adjusted with brand-new enhanced body parts, such as mechanical claws and tails, improved eyes, or even reinforced exoskeletons.
- A Mecha Rathian is far more threatening and powerful than the common Rathian, their mechanical joints can produce strikes even stronger than the ones of a fully grown Rathalos.

Anatomy
The common Rathian isn't greatly different from a Mecha Rathian, they share common traits such as size, lifespan, and internal structure.
Weight
A Mecha Rathian weighs a lot more than a common Rathian, because of all the metal improvements it possesses.
Skeleton
The skeleton of a Mecha Rathian has been improved with metal parts near the joints and in the most vulnerable areas like the head, the neck, and in the abdomen. Cutting its neck is almost impossible with a normal sword.
Skin
Usually, the skin of a Mecha Rathian is the same as a common Rathian where it hasn't been replaced completely. But it's a common thing to repair the damages with more metal to make the monster even more resistant to damage.
Claws
The claws of a common Rathian can't inflict poison on its enemies like the ones of a Rathalos, but a Mecha Rathian has sharpened metal claws that can tear almost everything apart.
Tail
Both the common and the mechanical Rathian possess a poisonous tail, but when it has been cut it's usually replaced by a powerful metal tail with a heavy spiked club on its end.

Behavior
The behavior of a Mecha Rathian changes greatly by the fact that flying becomes harder for the monster because of the metal parts. A habit of flying only when needed is developed.
Intelligence
The Intelligence of a Mecha Rathian doesn't change at all, but the monster is usually trained to use the changed bodyparts or to obey orders.
Nature
A mechanical Rathian could have a hard time when living in a natural environment instead of a human one because it hasn't grown the standard ways of survival that a common Rathian knows.
Also, its lifespan would be greatly shortened by the lack of maintenance for its metal parts.
Diet
The diet of a Mecha Rathian doesn't change, but it could grow in need of more food because of its heavier body that makes it harder move.
Senses
The senses of smell, touch, and taste are the same between a common and a Mecha Rathian, but the latter has an improved sense of sight and a more refined sense of hearing.
- A Mecha Rathian possesses an improved vision with the capability to see in the dark at great distances and to see a thermal scan of its enemies at all times.
- A Mecha Rathian possesses an improved hearing with the capability to perceive even the quietest sound from a great distance.
