# Divine Blade
The Divine Blade archetype seeks to give a little more fighting prowess, at the cost of spellcasting. This archetype was inspired by the Warpriest from the First Edition of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

You cannot select another dedication feat until you have gained two other feats from the Divine Blade archetype.

## Divine Blade Features You gain these abilities as a Divine Blade Cleric. Some of these abilities alter or replace Cleric class features as noted at the end of their entry. \columnbreak ### Table: Divine Blade Spells Per Day |YourLevel| Cantrips | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | 10th | |:------------:|:--------:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:---:|:----:| |1 |4 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |2 |4 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |3 |5 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |4 |5 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |5 |5 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |6 |5 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |7 |5 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |8 |5 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |9 |5 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |10 |5 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |11 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |12 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—**|**—** | |13 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—** | |14 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—**|**—** | |15 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—** | |16 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—**|**—** | |17 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—** | |18 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* |**—** | |19 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* | |20 |5 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |3 |2 |1\* | ### DIVINE SPELLCASTING As a divine blade cleric, the divine magic granted by your deity is slow to manifest. At 1st level, you can prepare one 1st-level spell and four cantrips each morning from the common spells on the divine spell list in Chapter Seven of the Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook or from other divine spells to which you gain access. As you increase in level as a divine blade cleric , the number of spells you can prepare each day increases, as does the highest level of spell you can cast, as shown in the above table: Divine Blade Spells per Day. This ability alters divine spellcasting. \pagebreakNum ### DIVINE FERVOR As a divine blade cleric, your wellspring of healing or harmful energy is slightly closed off. When you prepare your spells each day, you can prepare additional heal or harm spells, depending on your deity. The divine font spell your deity provides is listed in the Divine Font entry for your deity; if both are listed, you can choose between heal or harm. Once you choose, you can’t change your choice short of an ethical shift or divine intervention. This ability alters divine font. **Healing Fervor:** You gain additional spell slots each day at your highest level of cleric spell slots. You can prepare only heal spells (Chapter 7 of the Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook) in these slots, and the number of slots is equal to 1 plus half your Charisma modifier. **Harmful Fervor:** You gain additional spell slots each day at your highest level of cleric spell slots. You can prepare only harm spells (Chapter 7 of the Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook) in these slots, and the number of slots is equal to 1 plus half your Charisma modifier. As a single action, you can expend one slot of this ability to cast any one divine spell you have prepared. When cast in this way, the spell can only target you, even if it could normally affect other or multiple targets. Spells cast in this way always use a verbal component and do not trigger reactions. You count harmful or healing fervor as their equivalent divine font for the purposes of abilities that list harmful or healing font as a prerequisite. \columnbreak ### DOCTRINE You gain access to, and must choose, the Divine Blade doctrine. If you were following a different doctrine before becoming a Divine Blade Cleric, you lose the features granted by that doctrine and your deity grants you the benefits of the Divine Blade doctrine. This ability alters doctrine. ### divine blade You've begun to hone your martial skills more so than other clerics, focusing more on the rhythm of war than your spells. **First Doctrine (1st):** You're trained in light and medium armor, and you have expert proficiency in Fortitude saves. You gain the Shield Block general feat found in Chapter 5 of the Pathfinder Second Edition Core Rulebook, and At 13th level, if you gain the divine defense class feature, you also gain expert proficiency in light and medium armor. **Second Doctrine (3rd):** You're trained in martial weapons, and gain expert proficiency with your deity's favored weapon. **Third Doctrine (7th):** You gain master proficiency with your deity's favored weapon. When you critically succeed at an attack roll using that weapon, you apply the weapon's critical specialization effect; use your divine spell DC if necessary. **Fourth Doctrine (11th):** You gain the Attack of Opportunity reaction. In addition, your proficiency ranks for divine spell attack rolls and spell DCs increase to expert. **Fifth Doctrine (15th):** Your proficiency rank for Fortitude saves increases to master. When you roll a success at a Fortitude save, you get a critical success instead. **Final Doctrine (19th):** You gain legendary proficiency with your deity’s favored weapon. \pagebreakNum
