Martial Archetype: The Floating Swordsmen

The Floating Blades:

When you chose this Archetype at 3rd level, you've learned to cause your weapons to levitate using your force of will. You can have a number of melee weapons equal to 1 + your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1 weapon) start to float around you.

These weapons cannot be grabbed by another creature unless you allow it. These weapons are otherwise always under your control. You may drop or sheathe them at any time, requiring a bonus action to do so.

You may replace any of your regular attack actions with one of these floating weapons.

These weapons use your Wisdom modifier for Attack and Damage rolls instead of Strength or Dexterity.

The Beginners Blade:

Also at the 3rd level, you gain precise control over each of your blades. You are able to move your blades within 20ft of you, and have them attack using one of your attack actions.

If two of your blades are attacking the same person, they can attack on the same action, but each make their own attack roll. The blades return to floating around you after making this attack. Your blades also have a reach of 10 feet while floating around you.

You can make opportunity attacks with these blades whenever a creature moves into or outside of its reach.

Additionally, your blades grow faster as you level up. The movement of each weapon increases by 10 feet at levels 7, 10, 15, and 18. The reach of the weapons also increases by 5 feet at levels 10 and 18.

Blade Dancer:

Beginning at the 7th level, you have gained a certain flair when using your swords.

You gain proficiency in the Performance skill, and Expertise if you already have it.

Additionally, you or someone you choose can step onto the blade and gain a flight speed of 20 feet whilst on it. The blade can carry a weight of 15 times your Wisdom modifier, before moving at half speed.

Air Parry:

At 10th level your blades become swifter. When an enemy attacks an ally within your reach, or yourself, you may use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack.

This feature can be used a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier. You regain all expended uses of this feature when you finish a long rest.

Blade Explosion:

Beginning at 15th level, you have learned how to deal as much damage as possible in a single hit.

As an action, you can make an attack roll against a number of creatures within 30 feet of you equal to your Wisdom modifier. On a hit, you deal damage equal to all of your blades to each creature.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Short or Long rest.

Blade Finale:

Starting at the 18th level, your control over your blades is so fine tuned that you are capable of greater feats than before.

You become able to target a single creature with up to half your current floating blades with a single attack action. For example, if you have 6 blades you can target a single creature with 3 of them.

Additionally, creatures trigger opportunity attacks when entering your blades reach. You also gain a number of extra reactions to use on opportunity attacks equal to half your Wisdom modifier.

Your blades can now grant a flight speed equal to their move speed to yourself or allies riding on one of the blades.
