Primal Path of the Bubble Dragon

You have become entranced by an enigmatic creature of the Feywild, the deathly beautiful Bubble Dragon. Having fallen under it's sway, the whimsical nature of this majestic beast has infused itself into your being. You have begun to mimic its motions and fighting style; using Bubbles to entrap, damage, and protect yourself from your the enemies.

The features listed here may refer to your Bubble DC. Your Bubble DC is

8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier

Field of Bubbles

When you adopt this Path at 3rd level, the influence of the Fey have affected your rage. When you enter your rage, you generate an aura of bubbles in an area 10 feet around you. While this aura is present, hostile creatures entering or starting their turn within your Field of Bubbles must pass a Dexterity saving throw vs your Bubble DC. On a failed save, they are hit by your bubbles, which pop and deal force damage equal to your Rage damage bonus to the creature.

Bubble Trap

At 6th level your rage has begun to affect your weapon, leaving it slick with bubbly foam. When you make a melee weapon attack while you are raging, you can use your bonus action to encase the target inside a bubble. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw vs your Bubble DC. On a failed save, the target is encased in a bubble and is restrained.

At the beginning of its turn, a trapped creature can attempt to pop the bubble. The creature makes an attack vs the bubble to free itself. A bubble as 1 hit point and an AC of 10 + your Constitution modifier. Anyone can also attempt to pop the bubble by making an attack against the it. Any attacks made against a bubble will hit the trapped creature inside.

When the bubble pops, the trapped creature suffers 2d6 force damage.

Foamy Hide

At 10th level, the magic of the the Bubble Dragon has altered you even further. Your skin becomes slick with a foamy bubble solution, granting you 10 feet of increased movement speed. Additionally, opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage as your slippery skin makes it difficult for weapons to find purchase.

Champion of the Bubble Dragon

Starting at 14th level, the influence of the Bubble Dragon causes your bubbles to contain random elemental energies. When one of your bubbles is popped from your Field of Bubbles or Bubble Trap features, the bubble deals an additional 2d8 elemental damage. Choose one of the d8's. The number on the chosen die shows the additional damage type of the popped bubble.

You also gain mastery over your Field of Bubbles and Bubble Traps. Your features are modified as detailed below:

  • Field of Bubbles : You can end your rage early as a bonus action, causing all your bubbles to explode. Any creature within 10 feet of you must make a Dexterity saving throw vs your Bubble DC. On a failed save, they suffer your Field of Bubbles damage.
  • Bubble Trap When you trap a creature inside one of your bubbles, as part of the attack, you can immediately pop the bubble to cause the target to suffer the Bubble Traps damage.
