Scholar of Nym (wizard subclass)
The Scholars of ancient Nym were battlefield tacticians. They analyzed the movement of troops, and wielded powerful spells to aid their forces in victory, even if the odds were against them. One of their distuguishing tactics is the deployment of Nymien Faeries. These special faeries helped to aid comrades on the field, and were joined to their Scholar by a special bond called an Aetherpact.

Summon Faerie
Starting at 2nd level when you take this subclass, you gain the ability to summon a Nymien Faerie to aid you. The stat block for the Nymien Faerie is shown below. You can summon this faerie with a bonus action a number of times per day equal to your Intelligence modifier, and regain uses of that ability after a long rest. The Faerie remains for one minute, until it dies, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. It takes its turn immediately after yours in initiative, and acts without any action required by you. The typical Faeries summoned this way are named Eos or Selene, according to Scholar lore.
Additionally, you can use your Aetherpact to empower your faerie. While your faerie is summoned, you can expend a spell slot and use a bonus action on your turn to order your faerie (no action required by them) to immediately execute their Lustrate action.
Wisdom of Nym
Also at 2nd level, the knowledge and studies required to become of Scholar of ancient Nym gives you proficiency with Medicine and History skills.
Sacred Soil
At 6th level, you've learned how to create magical barriers that protect your allies from harm. As an action, choose a point within 30 ft of you. A magical barrier forms from that point in 30ft radius around that point. This barrier lasts for 1 minute, or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). If a creature friendly to you would take damage while within the barrier, that damage is reduced by 3. This damage reduction is applied after resistances and immunities are applied, but cannot reduce the amount of damage that creature takes below 1.
Once you use this feature, you cannot use it again until you finish a long rest.
Deployment Tactics
At 10th level, you've mastered the spells ancient Nym Scholars used to prevent their allies from dying. The spells "Death Ward" and "Greater Restoration" are added to your spell book, and do not count against the number of spells you would learn at this level.
Additionally, your Faerie gains the Whispering Dawn action.
Emergency Tactics
At 14th level, your Aetherpact strengthens both you and your faerie's healing potential. The Heal spell is added to your spell book, and it doesn't count against the number of spells you would learn at this level. Your Faerie's "Embrace" action is also upgraded. Along with its normal effects, targets affected also regain 1d4 hit points.
