Gnomengarde Archives
Jirna will lead the party into the palace archives. The archives are accessed beyond Darina's desk, since she is ultimately the keeper of the archive. As part of the archives, there are spectacles of comprehend languages, which Jirna will hand out to everyone.
It'll take hours of concerted effort by everyone to comb through the palace records looking for anything about the fourth workshop.
Three things will appear for the party:
Recent Maintenance Requests
This is the fifth and final request for a palace repair crew to come fix something underneath the Transmutation workshop. The other four are worded similarly, but each from a different apprentice.
To whom it may concern
The primary flow regulator under our workshop has been acting up again. Study of the Mandrag's Alchemical Properties of Motion is difficult when the water source one has to work with continually changes its speed. Please note that this is the fifth time this month we have had to reach out for a repair.
Inventor Vrizz would like to add that she will be raising this issue with Korboz if she has to deal with this herself after another of your technicians fails to appear for an appointment.

Record of the most Recent Highharvestide Workshop of the Year Contest
A quick record in a long file of records detailing the winners of an annual contest in Gnomengarde.
Congratulations to Master Transmuter Inventor Vrizz for winning the 1491 Workshop of the Year award. Awarded by King Korboz after lengthy debate for their research expanding Archevult's laws of elemental matter as they relate to the transmutability of gemstones, and for their continued improvement of the Gemstone powered Archevult Engine.

Official complaints from Arcanus Warmorn about Transmutation workshop's proximity interfering with her work.
There are 6 of these filed away in a single folder, their dates are scattered between months and only the last of which is from Warmorn herself. The rest are from a different apprentice each. The most recent complaint reads:
To whom it may concern:
Please consider this 6th formal request for Inventor Vrizz's workshop to be relocated no less than 80ft West of its current location. The transmutation surges emanating from her workshop are interfering with my work studying Newt's Principles of Kinetics.
Per the official recommendations by Silverymoon's own Archmage Miresk's Basics of Transmutation, heavy elemental manipulation should not be carried out regularly within 300ft of evocation.
I expect to have to continue sending these complaints until our Head Administrator sees fit to do something about the situation.
