Wind's Point

Weapon (Any Piercing Weapon), Legendary Item (requires attunement)

This weapon is slender, elegant, and incredibly light, its silvery blade inscribed with Auran runes up and down the blade. The weapon appears to be from an ancient long gone era.


When you wield this weapon and aren't wearing heavy armour, you have a +2 to AC, and you can take a reaction against a failed melee attack against you to gain a magical flying speed of 10 feet for 1 round.

Attuned to the Winds

After you attune to the weapon, you gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon, which deals additional 1d4 piercing damage. At 8th level, the weapons becomes +2 and the additional piercing damage increases from 1d4 to 1d6. At 14th level, the weapons becomes +3 and the additional piercing damage increases from 1d6 to 1d8.

Reaction Strike

At 4th level, while your attuned to this weapon, you have a reach of 10 feet instead of 5 feet, and you can take a reaction against a failed melee attack against you to attack back. If you take this reaction strike you deal slashing damage instead of piercing.

Swift as the Wind

At 8th level, while your attuned to this weapon, you can use a bonus action and make the lower runes light up. If you do, the weapon doubles your movement speed, and any creature that makes an opportunity attack against you has disadvantage on the attack roll. If you make the light fade from the runes, you end the effect.

When this ability has been used for a total of 10 minutes, you can't use it again 1 hour.

Light as a Feather

At 12th level, while your attuned to this weapon, you can use your bonus action to light up the upper runes on the blade, while the upper runes are lit you gain a magical flying speed of 40 feet.

When this ability has been used for a total of 10 minutes, you can't use it again 30 minutes.

Spirit Call

At 14th level once per day, you can grip Wind's Point in both hands and whisper, "Spirits of wind and sky, I call upon you." this lights up all the runes on the blade and you can cast either Control Winds or Steel Wind Strike (DC 16). After you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest. At 18th level is becomes a short or long rest.

Protective Winds

At 18th level once per day, you can grips Winds Point in both hands and say "Spirits of the warding winds, I call upon you." This lights up the blade into a whirlwind and you cast Investiture of Wind (DC 16). After you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
