Rogue: Shadowdancer

You have grown so close to the shadows that you have developed a mysterious connection with them. Rogues who follow this archetype, often called Shadowdancers, have acquired an instinctive grasp of how to embrace the darkness and bend it to their will. Shadowdancers learn to develop these powers and perfect their roguish talents of stealth and misdirection.

Hidden in Shadow

At 3rd level, you learn to blend in with the shadows, hiding in plain sight, hidden only by darkness. While in an area of dim light or darkness, you may attempt to Hide even if you would be within line of sight of the creature you are trying to Hide from.

Dance of Shadows

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to dance around the battlefield, distracting your opponents a moment before you cut them down. As a Bonus Action, you can make a Charisma (Performance) check against a creature you can see that isn't incapacitated, contested by the target's Wisdom (Insight). You have advantage on your check, if you are in an area of dim light or darkness. If you succeed, you can use your Sneak Attack against that target even if you don't have advantage on the attack roll, but not if you have disadvantage on it.

This benefit lasts for 1 minute or until you successfully use this feature against a different target.

Eyes of Shadow

At 9th level, you no longer need your eyes to see your enemies. As an action, you gain Blindsight out to a range of 60 feet, until the end of your next turn.

Shadow Illusion

At 13th level, you learn to shape shadows to your will, and create a shadowy clone of yourself. As an action, you create a perfect illusion of yourself that lasts for 1 minute, or until you lose your concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell). The illusion appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of you. It must be created in an area of dim light or darkness. It can move into the light after that, but if it is in bright light at the end of your turn, it vanishes. Whenever you move, you may move the clone a number of feet equal to your speed to a space you can see, but it must remain within 120 feet of you.

For the duration, you can use a Bonus Action to swap places with your Shadow Illusion.

Once your Illusion disappears, you cannot summon it again until you finish a Short Rest.

Improved Dance of Shadows

At 17th level, your shadowy performances become even more deadly, as you waltz with darkness itself, and shadows envelope your blades. While your Dance of Shadows feature applies to a creature, your reach with Melee Weapon Attacks is increased by 10 feet, you gain a bonus to AC equal to your Charisma Modifier, and your speed is increased by 10 feet.
