Way of the Bodhisattva

A bodhisattva is one who is closest to enlightenment. Journeying through each of the planes of life known as the Samsara as part of their training they have become the masters over the states of life.

With the goal of allowing their soul to ascend and be free of the wheel of Samara only remaining on the material plane as a means to teach others and guide mortals towards enlightenment themselves.

One with the World

At 3rd level, your meditation have given you insight into the very flow of the natural world. You gain proficiency in the Nature skill.

Eyes of Samsara

Additionally, at 3rd level, you have lived through all the states of existence in the wheel of Samsara. Your eyes are constantly staring into one of the planes of Samsara and allow you to tap into those planes primordial powers as their master. At the end of each long rest you can choose to gain two of the following benefits;

  • Preta Plane: Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can spend 1 ki point to gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt by the attack.
  • Nuraka Plane: When you use your Patient Defence feature you take on the visage of Narakas. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of you must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Ki save. On a failed save the creature is frightened of you until the end of its next turn.

  • Animal Plane: You can spend 2 Ki Points to cast the summon beast spell. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability and you can cast this spell at 1 spell level higher for every 2 additional Ki Points you spend.

  • Human Plane: When you use your flurry of blows you create 2 copies of yourself. Instead of you making additional attacks each copy can move up to 30ft and make an unarmed strike against a creature in range. The copies disappear after making their attack.

  • Asura Plane: Your unarmed strikes deal fire damage and when you hit a creature with 3 unarmed on your turn that creature falls prone.

  • Deva Path: When you make either a Strength (Athletics) or a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check you can spend 1 Ki Point to gain advantage on that roll.

Third Eye Awakening

At 6th level, you can close your eyes to the wheel of Samara to reveal the True world around you. As a bonus action, your forehead splits open revealing a third eye.

You can see all living creatures within a 15ft radius of you including invisible creatures but beyond this radius you are completely blind. Additionally, while your third eye is open and you use your Missile Deflection feature you can add your remaining Ki Points to the damage you reduce. You can close your third eye as a bonus action.

Lotus Garden Meditation

At 11th level, you can spend a period of 10 minutes in a calm and meditative state where lotuses begin to blossom in an area 30ft around you. You regain Ki Points equal to your proficiency bonus. The grounds coved by the lotuses are considered consecrated for the next 1d10 days. You can use this feature once per long rest.

Additionally, you can spend 5 Ki Points to cast the reincarnate spell.

Seal of the Five Element Mountain

At 17th level, as an action, you can spend 5 Ki Points when you hit a creature with an unarmed strike against a creature. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw or be pulled into a demi-plane and be trapped beneath a mountain.

A creature that is trapped this way is always considered to be under the restrained condition. You can only trap 1 creature at a time using this feature. A creature can use their action to attempt to escape this demi-plane. They must make a Strength saving throw against your Ki save DC.

On a successful save they escape the demi-plane and appear in an unoccupied space within 30ft of you. Creatures that pass this save take the full force of the mountain and take 1d8 acid, cold, fire, lightening and thunder damage.
