"Come on. It's just a little heresy." —Telaban
A short barreled auto rifle made of the chitin of hive. It's sturdy yet light. Dark powers were used to make this weapon but it seems to submit when exposed to light.

I'm telling you, Pharah. This is the right thing to do. Info on our enemies are scarce and every little detail could save lives. If we can understand their tech, we can repurpose it, wield it. Use any leftover weaponry to advance our efforts, better arm our Guardians with hybrid technology. There are so many exotic materials just begging to be exploited!
At this very moment, Crota's Enders are fighting through several lifetimes to keep the end times at bay, but we're sitting on our collective hindquarters praying.
Theology died years ago, Pharah, along with humanity's recollection of it. Even praying to the Traveler is pointless. The strength of the Traveler and it's ability to interject into spacetime paracausal events is directly proportional to the collective strength of the Guardians.
We need to- we must foster strength in whatever way we can. The Hive are the closest to the darkness and its mechanations; aside from the Taken. If we cannot arm ours- if you will not allow us to arm ourselves with their technology, we can at least arm ourselves with knowledge of our foes.
...
I refuse! I will not-
...
Very well... of course. Yes, I trust you.
