Primeval Domain

In ancient times, divinity was called upon for a good hunt and big game, asking for blessing so the hunters return safely from a long trip. The primeval domain cleric is a worshiper of the gods of old, seeking a worthy prey in the vast expanse of the world. With weapon in one hand, and nature in the other, this primeval priest stands along side others for the greatest hunt in life.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain proficiency in your choice of Animal Handling, Nature, or Survival checks. Additionally, you gain proficiency with martial weapons.

Spiritual Armor

Starting at 1st level, you can perform a 10 minute ritual involving marking yourself with paint, mud, blood, as well as dressing yourself in natural material, such as furs, flowers, or feathers.

While covered in these markings, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Wisdom modifier. The markings wear off at the end of a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Mark Prey

Starting from 2nd level, after a successful weapon or spell attack, you can use this channel divinity as a bonus action, marking your target as prey and causing attacks to be magically guided towards them.

  • Weapon attacks against the target ignore half cover and three-quarters cover
  • It leaves a glowing trail 15 feet behind it, either in the form of foot prints or floating lights.
  • Weapon attack rolls against the target can ignore all sources of disadvantage

This effect lasts for 1 minute.

Predator's Alacrity

At 6th level, you have sharpened and honed your senses. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Once per turn, you can deal additional damage equal to half your cleric level with weapon attacks and cantrips against any creature that hasn't taken a turn in the combat yet.

Divine Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Superior Predator

Starting at 17th level, any attack roll made against the marked target is a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 on the d20.

Additionally, as a bonus action, any creature hostile to the marked target can move up to its speed towards the marked prey.
