# Primal Path ### Path of the Colossus Sometimes a barbarian's rage outgrows the simplicity of a physical fury. Sometimes it unleashes something hidden, something hidden deep within them that builds and builds until erupting into magical transformation. When this power erupts, a barbarian towers over the fray of battle with magical purpose, swinging its weapons in great arcing cuts and wide, vanquishing cleaves. These barbarians become colossus. Great and giant fighters who entwine their rage with a supernatural power. Ask yourself how your barbarian might have unleashed this power. Perhaps they share ties with the Feyrealm, drawing in strands of purple, orange, and blue energy before growing to monstrous heights and exhibiting a coat of color around their body. Or perhaps they draw this power from a fiendish heritage, which not only grows them but causes thorns to sprout and skin to blacken. Whatever transformation a colossus undergoes, its power truly shows in the heat of combat. #### Colossal Transformation Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, your physical appearance changes and swells with mystical power whenever you enter a rage. Whatever decorative or physical changes appear on your person are for you to decide. Perhaps you begin to glow with a magical energy, or perhaps you take on the appearances of creatures associated with another plane of existence. Regardless of what changes come to your appearance, you gain the following benefits while raging: * You grow one size category larger (for example, from Medium to Large) for the duration of your rage. * When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack using your Strength, you add an extra 1d4 to the damage roll. * You have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks against creatures that are your size or smaller. #### Reckless Abandon Beginning at 6th level, the power which feeds your rage also aids in protecting you from foes that would be too scared to face you in melee. When you choose to attack recklessly using your *Reckless Attack* feature, you gain resistance to damage from ranged attacks until the start of your next turn. At 10th level, you also gain resistance to damage from spells. \columnbreak #### Shadow of the Tower Starting at 10th level, your size casts a long shadow, obscuring and protecting your allies in the shade and chaos of your rage. When you are raging, friends within 10 feet of you have a +2 bonus to AC. #### Colossus At 14th level, your rage engulfs you in all its magical mystery, causing you to tower over the fray of combat and become a stalwart force of rage. When you rage, you grow two size categories larger (for example, from Medium to Huge) for the duration of your rage. You also deal an extra 1d6 damage, instead of 1d4, to a creature whenever you hit it with a melee weapon attack using your Strength. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against spells while raging.
