### Sunbearer's Shield *Armor (shield), very rare (requires attunement by a cleric or paladin of good alignment)*
*This shield is imbued with divine magic harnessed from the sun. It bears art of a shining star and is polished to a mirror-like sheen on both the front and back.* --- While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC. The shield has 5 charges, and it regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. You can use the shield to cast *light* (expends no charges), *dancing lights* (expends 2 charges), or *daylight* (expends 3 charges). Any spells cast with the shield require only verbal components and end early if you doff the shield. When you cast *dancing lights* using the shield, four glowing orbs appear and spin around you in a 20-foot diameter circle. You gain temporary hit points equal to 4 times your Wisdom or Charisma modifier (your choice). Whenever this pool of temporary hit points is depleted by one fourth, one of the glowing orbs blinks out. The spell ends when all of the temporary hit points have been depleted, 10 minutes have passed, or you gain new temporary hit points. You do not need to concentrate on the spell. When you cast *light* or *daylight* using the shield, you must target the shield itself. While *daylight* is active on the shield, you gain an additional +1 bonus to AC and another benefit depending on your class. If you are a cleric, undead have disadvantage on the Wisdom saving throw to resist your Turn Undead feature. If you are a paladin, your Divine Smite feature deals an additional 2d8 radiant damage. ---
