The Chronomancer's Eye

Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement)

Long ago, a curious mage tinkered with the magicks of time itself, becoming the first Chronomancer. His research focused on tying the threads of time magic into the material, and through his efforts, he created The Chronomancer's Eye. With this Eye watching over him, he was able to react faster and more often to external stimuli, often those wishing to steal his secrets...

Mindsync. The Eye can communicate with up to 10 creatures who have attuned to it, while they are within its sphere of influence. The Eye's sphere of influence is a circle with radius equal to its radius off of the ground, centered at a point on the ground directly beneath it (the Eye sits at the top of its sphere of influence).

Hover. The Eye hovers 5 feet above of the ground unless otherwise commanded or held in some way. As a bonus action, an attuned creature may telepathically command the Eye to move to any location within 60 feet.

Time Safe. The Eye is a 3 inch diameter glass orb, wtih an AC of 20. Attacks against the Eye have disadvantage and the Eye is resistance to all damage types. The Eye has 10 hit points. When the Eye's hit points are reduced to 0, all attuned must make an Intelligence saving throw. The save is successful if at least half of the attuned roll a 10 or higher. On success, the Eye immediately becomes unattuned and inert, regaining its magical properties after 1d10 days. On failure, the Eye creates a tear in space time and is ejected to a different location in space and time. Any creature may follow the Eye through the tear to retrieve the Eye, though the tear closes 1d20 minutes after creation (the DM may hide this time from the players).

Foresight. All creatures attuned to the Eye and within its sphere of influence gain foresight as if they can see forward in time. The Eye has charges equal to the average proficiency bonus of the creatures attuned to it. An attuned creature may perform an additional reaction at the cost of one charge. The charges are shared by all attuned creatures. The Eye regains all expended charges each sunrise.
