Roguish Archetype
Continuum Crawler
These individuals have been caught in the cracks between space and time, often due to meddling that of their own accord. Usually these rogues are recruited or hunted down in the various outskirts of the planes of the multiverse.
Continuum Crawler Features
| Rogue Level | Feature |
|---|---|
| 3rd | Temporal Reverse, Quantum Fluidity |
| 9th | Chronal Phase |
| 13th | Tachyonic Assault |
| 17th | Paracausal Convergence |
Temporal Reverse
Starting at 3rd level, you can subtly warp time around you. As a bonus action, you mark your position and your speed increases by 10 feet. At the beginning of your next turn, you teleport to the position you marked. If you are zero hit points or incapcitated, you regain hit points equal to your Rogue level and are no longer incapcitated.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Quantum Fluidity
At 3rd level, you can shift the outcome of your actions and small details about the nature of your reality. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you can choose to roll it again with advantage. You make this decision before you see whether the original roll succeeds or fails. You can choose the original roll, or the roll made with advantage. You can’t use this feature again until you finish a long rest
Chronal Phase
At 9th level, you can shift the speed at which you travel through space and time. Whenever you take the Dash action you can also move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain, but you take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside a creature or an object and are shunted to the nearest unoccupied space.
Tachyonic Assault
At 13th level, you can strike faster than light with your weapons. Immediately after you deal your Sneak Attack damage to a creature on your turn, you can target up to two creatures that you can see within 30 feet of the first creature. Roll half the number of Sneak Attack dice for your level (round down), and creatures take radiant damage equal to the roll’s total, as a bright echo of you performs an attack at blinding speed.
You can use this ability twice, and you regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Paracasual Convergence
At 17th level, alternate versions of you doomed in other timelines come to your aid. As a reaction to being reduced to zero hit points or to an effect that would kill you instantly, you can choose to not take the damage that would reduce you to zero and any effects that would kill you are negated. Each time you use this feature you gain a level of exhaustion.
