Cyborg
Entry 41A, 9:17 A.M.:
Subject has suffered multiple loss of limbs and fourth-degree burns along her chest and back. We've managed to stabilize the patient for now, however she remains in critical condition. Once preparations finish, we'll begin surgery to replace the burned regions of her body with metal, as well as giving her new arms and legs to replace her lost ones.

Cyborgs are both a medical and technological innovation. Using specialized metal, it is capable of rescuing a person from near-death, as well as giving them additional abilities.
Repurposed Metal
The metal used to transform a person into a cyborg is taken from constructs. This metal is then taken to people who specialize in constructs and machinations to repurpose the metal to be suitable for cyborgs.
Human Compatibility
The process of transforming a person into a cyborg has been shown to be limited to humans only. However, it is possible that with further research this science will be able to become compatible with other humanoid races.
Surgical Process
The most common way of transforming a person into a cyborg has been when the victim has been subjected to a major physical infliction, such as mutilation, for example. There have been instances where people have paid to replace parts of their body with mechanical versions.
Cybernetic Enhancements
When a person turns into a cyborg, they also acquire an augmentation, which after a certain amount of time upgrades to an advanced version. Also, cyborgs can visit those who specialize in dealing with cyborgs to switch out or gain new augmentations.
