# Master of Many Forms Warlock Patron | Level | Patron Spells | |:---:|:-----------:| | 1st | Absorb Elements, Feather Fall | | 2nd | Enlarge/Reduce, Enhance Ability | | 3rd | Haste, Water Breathing | | 4th | Polymorph, Guardian of Nature | | 5th | Awaken, Reincarnate | > ##### Note on Polymorph > Because *Polymorph* it is a spell gated behind an invocation for warlocks, it may be considered too strong as a Patron spell. While recent additions to official Warlock patrons have ignored this unspoken rule, you can replace *Polymorph* on the patron spell list with *Death Ward* if it is a concern. ### Change Appearance At the 1st level, your patron has taught you the basics of changing your form. As an action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight, but not so much that your size changes. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can't duplicate the appearance of a creature you've never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. Your clothing and equipment aren't changed by this trait. You stay in the new form until you use an action to revert to your true form or until you die. \columnbreak ### Shifting Starting at 6th Level, you can use your action to magically adapt to your environment. As a bonus action, you can assume a more bestial appearance. This transformation lasts for 1 hour, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as a bonus action. When you shift, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Warlock level + your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1 temporary hit point). You may also choose one of the following adaptations to gain, in addition to the temporary hitpoints, so long as you remain transformed this way. **Aquatic.** You can breathe underwater, and gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed. **Subterranean.** You gain tremorsense (60 ft.) and a burrowing speed equal to half your walking speed. You may only burrow through earth, sand, snow, or similar materials. **Mountainous.** You gain a climbing speed equal to your walking speed, and can hang from sheer surfaces or upside down without effort. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a short rest. ### Focused Transmutation At the 10th level, your expertise in shapeshifting allows you to maintain your forms even under duress. You cannot lose concentration on transmutation spells as a result of taking damage. ### Real Change At the 14th level, you have learned to make your magic endure beyond normal boundaries. If you concentrate on a transmutation spell with a duration other than instantaneous for its full duration, you may make that spell's effect permanent until dispelled. You may only have one permanent spell at a time. If you use this feature again, the previous permanent spell ends immediately.

You must complete a long rest before you may do so again. ### Miniature Mimic *Requires: Pact of the Chain, Master of Many Forms Patron* Your familiar gains the *Shapechanger* (See Imp, Quasit) ability, if it does not already have it, and may use this ability to Polymorph into a beast form that resembles any Beast with CR 1/4 or less. Additionally, your familiar gains temporary hitpoints equal to your Warlock level whenever it uses its *Shapechanger* ability. ### Unnatural Weaponry *Requires: Pact of the Blade, Master of Many Forms Patron* Whenever you make a natural weapon attack or unarmed strike while transformed, that attack counts as being made with your pact weapon, both for damage die and ability modifier used and for the purposes of benefiting from invocations and other qualities of your pact weapon. ### Runed Hide *Requires: Pact of the Tome, Master of Many Forms Patron* While transformed, you are considered to be holding your Book of Shadows and may cast spells you know without verbal or somatic components. ### Aerial Shifting *Requires: Master of Many Forms Patron, 12th level* You may use your Shifting feature twice per rest. You also gain the following adaptation option when you use your Shifting feature: **Aerial.** You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed, so long as you are not wearing heavy armor, and are not encumbered. \columnbreak ## Changelog ##### Version 1.1 - Changed 6th level feature from *Wildshape* to *Shifting*. Wildshape fits thematically, but could be considered an infringement on the design space of druids. Shifting is modeled on the Shifter racial feature, but with alterations to fit its status as a 6th level subclass feature. - Optional invocations updated to fit with feature changes.
