Monastic Tradition:

Way of the Closed Fist

Monks of the Way of the Closed Fist are the masters of channeling ki throughout their body to produce devastating effects. The followers of the closed fist seek to perfect their bodies and are willing to push aside all else to reach physical perfection. Every single day upon waking, they must complete an intense training regimen of one-hundred push-ups, one-hundred sit-ups, one-hundred squats, and a ten-kilometer run.

Flesh Unbreakable

As part of your martial training, you learn to channel your ki through your connective tissue to toughen your flesh against to shrug off even the mightiest of blows. Starting at 3rd level, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, you may use your Strength modifier instead of your Dexterity modifier when calculating your Unarmored Defense class feature.

Closed Fist Technique

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can choose to channel your ki into specific regions of your physicality thus empowering your strikes. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you may choose one of the following effects:

  • It must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked 10 feet away from you in a direction of your choosing. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
  • You may add your Wisdom modifier to the damage rolls of your unarmed strike.
  • You gain advantage for an attack roll of your choice until the end of your next turn.

Body Over Mind

Your vigilant practice and mastery of the closed fist tradition has ingrained itself into your muscle fibers. At 6th level, you gain the following benefits:

  • You may add your strength modifier to initiative rolls.
  • You may spend 1 ki point to gain advantage on athletic or acrobatic checks for the next hour.
  • When you take damage from a creature that has done damage to you within 5 feet of you, you may use your reaction to make an Unarmed Strike against that creature.

One Inch Punch

Starting at 11th level, you can concentrate all of your inner might into a single devastating blow.

As an action you can choose to make a special unarmed strike, called a One Inch Punch. The One Inch Punch deals force damage, has a damage dice equal to six times your Martial Arts Dice, and deals double your Wisdom plus your Strength modifier. This attack ignores resistance to force damage.

Additionally, when you hit a target with your One Inch Punch you can spend 1 ki point to add an additional three damage dice to your damage roll.

Lastly, damage made against objects are doubled.

Strength Beyond Measure

Starting at 17th level, you can allow the ki throughout your body to flow without limit. You may spend 5 ki points as a bonus action to enter a state of raw strength for 1 minute. While in this state you have advantage on attack rolls using your One Inch Punch, your attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, you have advantage on athletic and acrobatic checks, and you may spend 1 ki point to apply a stunning strike to hits made with your One Inch Punch.
