Primarily found in the lush, forested mountain ranges of Tian Guo, the pandarin, more commonly known as pandafolk, are a wise and friendly people that enjoy the simple pleasures of life: food, drink, and family. While kind and good-natured, a pandarin is quick to defend their  loved ones from would-be attackers foolish enough to mistake their calm, deliberate demeanor for laziness.

### One with Nature
Pandarin live in small communities nestled deep within the dense woodlands and bamboo forests common to both the hot tropical regions of Tian Guo and the cooler mountainous areas of the continent. Most pandarin villages are built at ground level or at lower elevations near the base of mountains as pandarins are generally not avid climbers.

While not caretakers of the wilderness, pandarins necessarily live off of the land and maintain a balanced relationship with nature. They make efficient use of their environment, constructing their homes, clothing and weapons from materials gleaned from their surroundings, and they strive to not waste the resources that the spirits of the natural world have gifted to them.

### Family First
For pandarin, the bonds of family are strong. The typical pandarin household includes several generations of the same family, with the extended family unit serving as the centerpiece of the close-knit pandarin society. Every member of the household has their role to play: children rigorously study and train to become meaningful contributors; adults work hard to care for their children and aging parents; and elders are the decision makers, revered as sources of unerring wisdom.

### Life is Beautiful
Pandarin are an amiable and easygoing people who make the time to fully enjoy every moment in life to the fullest. The perfect day for a pandarin consists of a morning hike into the forest, an hour or two of calm meditation in a serene clearing, a relaxing nap amongst the bamboo stalks, and a brisk journey home to enjoy a delicious meal in the company of their loved ones.

Pandarin see the value in all life and prefer to avoid violence when they can, but they are formidable foes for those unsavory individuals who test the limits of pandarin peacefulness and threaten the lives and well being of their family and friends.

### Pandarin Traits
Your pandarin character has a number of natural abilities they share with all other pandarin.

**Ability Score Increase.** Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.

**Age.** Pandarin age at a similar rate to humans, reaching adulthood in their late teens, and they typically live to the age of 80.

**Alignment.** Being peaceful, serene people that live in harmony with nature, pandarin are usually neutral good.

Pandarin society doesn’t tolerate evil, and the rare individual that exhibits evil intentions is quickly outcast as a sworn enemy of the community.

**Size.** Pandarin are large and hefty individuals, standing close to 7 feet tall on average and typically weighing about 300 pounds. Your size is Medium.

**Speed.** Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

**Claws.** Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you can deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.

**Inner Peace.** You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

**Keen Smell.** You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.

**Powerful Build.** You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.

**Languages.** You can speak, read, and write Common and Pandarin.
