White Pudding
White puddings were oozes that were related to the well-known black puddings. Unlike their more common cousins, they were well-adapted to cold climates, and took residence in snow, as well as ice floes. They were the bane of adventurers and creatures that dwelt in such regions, as they were almost impossible to spot.
These puddings initiated attacks by grabbing and constricting prey, usually the closest ones if facing multiple foes. Due to their almost perfect camouflage in arctic areas, they would always surprise their foes. Whilst grabbing, they would produce a deadly poison, dissolving the victim's clothing and the victims themselves in an astonishingly quick time.
Weapons that pierced or slashed did not hurt white puddings at all, but instead caused them to split into two, smaller white puddings. If the new puddings became too small, they could not be split any further, and died.
Such oozes hunted a range of other arctic creatures, from seals and penguins to humans journeying through snowy regions. The victims of white puddings never got a chance to cry out for help, as they were instantly smothered and killed. When they had no access to easy prey, they would digest plant material, but required more than this to be healthy.
White Pudding Poison

White Pudding Poison (Injury)

Amorphous. The pudding can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Spider Climb. The pudding can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Immutable Form. The pudding is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.
False Appearance. While the pudding remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from snow or ice.
Damage Transfer. While it is grappling a creature, the pudding takes only half the damage dealt to it, and the creature grappled by the pudding takes the other half.
Actions
Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 18 (4d8) poison damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 15). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the pudding can't attack a different target. If a target starts its turn restrained, they take 18 (4d8) poison damage.
Potent Poison (Recharge 6). Until the end of their next turn, the puddle's poison increases in potency. The first time a creature takes poison damage from the pudding, they must make a constitution saving throw (DC 15). On a failed saving throw, they're poisoned for the next 24 hours. While poisoned in this way, their Wisdom and Intelligence scores are reduced by 1d4+1. On a successful saving throw, the target is immune to this ability for 24 hours.
Reactions
Split. When a pudding that is Medium or larger is subjected to piercing or slashing damage, it splits into two new puddings if it has at least 10 hit points. Each new pudding has hit points equal to half the original pudding's, rounded down. New puddings are one size smaller than the original pudding.
