## Oath of Destiny 1.1 *Viicasantri'um Paladin* At first glance, the ideals of a paladin and the lifestyle of the drow are incompatible. However, a closer examination will reveal a very interesting group of drow who follow formalized tenets of the Spider Queen with near-fanatic devotion. They study combat and magic almost equally, and are used by their matrons as leaders, organizers, and hyper-competent soldiers. As with many paths in Viicasantri’um, once sworn, the Oath of Destiny is a life sentence. #### Tenets of Destiny All paladins who swear this oath respect the following ideals: ***Obedience*** - Do as you are ordered, and live. ***Destiny*** - The destiny of the drow is to conquer all. ***Superiority*** - Drow are superior to every other race. As an action, you present your holy symbol and force each creature of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, a creature becomes frightened of you for 1 minute. The frightened creature can repeat this saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. #### Channel Divinity: Opportunity As a reaction, when an enemy you can see within 60 feet rolls a 1 on the die for an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can capitalize on their failure using your Channel Divinity. You present your holy symbol and that enemy becomes blinded. This effect is automatic for one round—on each round past the first, the afflicted may make a Constitution saving throw, ending the effect on a success. #### Aura of Destiny Starting at 7th level, you can inspire your current allies—if any—into remembering their destiny. You and allies within 10 feet of you gain +1 to all attack rolls and Charisma skill checks. The radius of your aura increases to 30 feet at 18th level. \columnbreak #### Inevitability At 15th level, you are protected and inspired by your destiny. You are under a constant effect identical to the *Guidance* cantrip—you may roll 1d4 and add the total to an ability check, before or after making the check.. If *Guidance* is cast on you again, the effects only stack once, allowing you to roll 2d4 and add the total to your ability check once. #### What is Written Beginning at 20th level, you can take on the form of the true Lolthian drow. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits: * You gain the effects of the spell *Spider Climb* for the duration of the transformation, and require no ability check to walk on vertical or upside-down surfaces. * You ignore movement restrictions on webbing. * When you hit with an attack, you can deal extra damage of the weapon or spell type equal to your Charisma modifier. This also applies to the web bolts as below. * You gain the ability to shoot web bolts. The bolt is treated as a thrown weapon with which you are proficient and requires an attack action to produce and affect a target with. On a hit, the target is restrained. As an action, the restrained target can make a Strength check against your Paladin spell DC, bursting the webbing on a success.
