#### Sorcerer: ### Ex Machina From the inevitables of the city of Sigil to the inscrutable machinations of Primus and the modrons, Intricate constructs dot the multiverse. Perhaps your ancestors were infused with the magic of gnomish clockwork, or entered contracts with the inevitables. Whatever the origin of your powers, your mind has evolved beyond the limitations of flesh, and you have gained the reliability and calculated nature of machines. #### Ex Machina Magic Starting at 1st level, you learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Ex Machina Magic table. The spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. ____ Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be an abjuration or a divination spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list. | Sorcerer Level | Spell | |:----:|:-------------| | 1st | *detect magic, identify* | | 3rd | *enhance ability, locate object* | | 5th | *counterspell, sending* | | 7th | *divination, fabricate* | | 9th | *animate objects*, *wall of force* | #### Machine Data Starting at 1st level, a part of your mind changes to be similar to machines, retaining and changing data without the limitations of human mind. You gain one skill proficiency of your choice. This ability is enhanced as you gain more levels in this class. At 3rd level, you gain a tool proficiency of your choice. At 5th level, you gain a weapon or armor proficiency of your choice. At 7th level, you gain a saving throw proficiency of your choice. You can replace one proficiency gained through this feature with another of the same type when you finish a long rest. #### Emulation At 6th level, you can choose to analyze a spell being cast within 30ft of you as a reaction. You learn the spell, and counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. You lose the spell when you use this feature again, as you replace the old spell with a new one. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, and you regain expended uses on a long rest. \columnbreak
#### Reliable Prowess Starting at 14th level, your mechanical consciousness makes your actions more reliable. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you can choose the d20 roll to be 10 instead. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, and you regain all expended uses on a short or long rest. #### Form of Artifice At 18th level, your mind has completely changed to that of a machine. You can choose if your physical form changes as well. You gain the following benefits: * Your type changes to construct. * You gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. * You gain another proficiency of each type you gained through machine data.
