# Druidic Circle ## Circle of the Storm An ancient sect of druids, the Circle of the Storm, is a druidic circle attune to the elemental power of the tempest. These druids respect and revere the power storms hold over nature, both the life giving rains and destructive wrath in the same gust of wind. Connecting with the primal powers to shock their foes and embolden their allies, they’re capable of bringing the thunder to any adventure. ___ Druids of this circle often gather around roaring coasts, or attend to sanctuaries atop peaks of tempestuous peaks. Depending on the worlds you visit, you might find druids in the far north or gathering in congregations where stormy activity is the most active. ##### **Circle of the Storm Features** | Druid Level | Feature | |:----:|:-------------| | **2nd** | Gathering Storm, Thunderous Leap | | **6th** | Embrace the Lightning | | **10th** | Channel the Storm | | **14th** | Stormbringer | ### Gathering Storm When you choose this circle at 2nd level, the power of the storm awakens in your veins. You gain a Storm die (a d6). At the beginning of combat, your Storm die starts at 1. When you successfully attack a creature, target a number of creatures equal to the number on your Storm die that you can see within 30 feet of the first creature. You deal lightning damage equal to the number on your Storm die + your proficiency bonus to those creatures, then increase your Storm die by 1. When you miss an attack or combat ends, your Storm die resets to 1. ### Thunderous Leap At 2nd level, your connection to the storm is so strong that it can lift you in its thunderous embrace. As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape feature to fly up to 30 feet. When you land you create a thunderous boom that causes each creature within 10 feet of the space you landed to make a Constitution saving throw against your Spell Save DC plus your Storm Die, taking 2d8 lightning or thunder damage (your choice) on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. When you land, thunder can be heard up to 300 feet away. If your Storm die is 4 or higher, you can use this feature without expending a use of your Wild Shape feature.

As an action, target a number of friendly creatures equal to the number on your Storm die that you can see within 30 feet. They are struck with lightning, gaining 1d6 + half your Druid level temporary hit points and your Storm die resets to 1. While a creature has these temporary hit points, their attacks deal an extra 1d6 lightning or thunder damage (your choice). You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. ### Channel the Storm At 10th level, you can use your attunement to the storm to access supernatural powers. If your Storm die is 4 or higher, you can reset it to cast one of the following spells without expending a spell slot: * *call lightning* * *lightning bolt* * *sleet storm* * *storm sphere* ### Stormbringer At 14th level, you become an avatar of the storm. You gain resistance to lightning and thunder damage; and you cannot take damage from falling. In addition, as your Storm die increases a small supernatural storm swells around you. When your Storm die goes above 1, a 5-foot radius storm forms 5 feet above you, lightly obscuring you and exposed flames in the area are doused. Every time your Storm die increases by 1, the radius of the storm increases by 5 feet. If your Storm die is 4 or higher, you are heavily obscured, ranged weapon attacks made against you have disadvantage on the attack roll; and you can reset it to cast the following spells without expending spell slot: * *chain lightning* * *whirlwind* #### Credits This subclass was created by Chilroy, otherwise known as Jesse.
