### Oath of the Void The Oath of the Void is one not easily set upon. Finding the willpower to accept this path is a journey, but most don't realize the trials it takes to become a vessel. It is the heart of dead stars that call to them, the darkness of the shadowfell, or harnessing the negative energy of ones self, however those who aren't ready are consumed; for embracing entropy is quite taxing on a mortal shell. It is in this weight that Void Paladins are born.
#### Tenets of the Void The tenets of the Oath of the Void are tattooed in various places of each paladin who takes this oath. The ink itself is strange - shifting and churning with hints of flicking lights within. **Heart of the Void.** Your path is one that is long, filled with darkness and at the end you shall become one with the dying light. But until then, strive to protect that light, for others wish to consume it. **Event Horizon.** Those that would wish to snuff out the light are your enemies. Like the great star eaters, consume these messengers of destruction and do not let them escape. **Ravenous Hunger.** Wanton destruction tempts those who draw their strength from these sources. Resist with every fiber of your being, for we are the guardians of this world. #### Oath Spells You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed. #### Oath of the Void Spells | Paladin Level | Spells | |:--:|:--| | 3rd | *Gift of Alacrity**, *Arms of Hadar* | | 5th | *Shadow Blade, Darkness* | | 9th | *Pulse Wave**, *Hunger of Hadar* | | 13th | *Gravity Sinkhole**, *Greater Invisibility* | | 17th | *Temporal Shunt**, *Steel Wind Strike* | *= Explorers Guide to Wildemount Spells. #### Channel Divinity When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two channel divinity options. **Shackling Smite.** Immediately after you deal damage to a creature with your Divine Smite feature, you can use your Channel Divinity and cause the creature to be shackled by manacles of force. The creature makes a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or become restrained for 1 minute. While restrained in this way, it cannot take reactions. The creature can remake the save at the end of each of its turns. **Lightening the Load.** As a bonus action, you can use your Channel Divinity and target up to six creatures (including yourself) within 60 feet of you. For 1 minute, or until you end this effect with a bonus action, each creature has their movement speed increased by 10 feet and their jump distance is tripled. \columnbreak
### Weight of the Stars Starting at 7th level, you constantly emanate an aura of pressure while you aren't incapacitated. The aura extends 10 feet from you in every direction and any time a hostile creature starts its turn within this aura, it has its movement speed reduced by half until the start of its next turn. In addition, you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to force damage. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet. ### Dying Light Starting at 15th level, you've learned how to draw the light from victims that fall within your sight. When a creature is reduced to 0 hit points within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to tear the remaining light from their bodies and bolster yourself temporarily, gaining temporary hit points equal to your level. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest. ### Archon of the Void Starting at 20th level, your mortal shell rapidly falls victim to entropy, revealing a being of the cosmos. As an action, you can magically become an avatar of the stars, gaining the following benefits for 1 minute: - You gain a flying speed of 60 feet and you can hover. - Your weapons damage type changes to your choice of Force or Radiant damage for the duration. - You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. - You have advantage on attack rolls against creatures affected by your *Weight of the Stars* aura and they also take an additional 2d10 force damage at the start of each of their turns inside the aura. >### Credits! > * Written and edited by [u/Macekill](https://www.reddit.com/user/Macekill). > * Made using [GM Binder](https://www.gmbinder.com/).
