## Class Features As a Paint-slinger, you gain the following class features #### Hit Points ___ - **Hit Dice:** 1d8 per Paint-slinger level - **Hit Points at 1st Level:** 8 + your Constitution Modifier - **Hit Points at Higher Levels:** 1d8 (or 6) + your Constitution Modifier per Paint-slinger level #### Proficiencies ___ - **Armor:** none - **Weapons:** Simple Weapons, Longsword - **Tools:** Painter's Supplies ___ - **Saving Throws:** Intelligence, Constitution - **Skills:** Choose three from Arcana, History, Medicine, Nature, Performance, Stealth, and Survival \columnbreak #### Equipment You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background: - *(a)* a Longsword or *(b)* any simple weapon - *(a)* an Explorer's pack or *(b)* a Dungeoneer's pack - a Palette and paint brushes \pagebreak ## Color Palette At the 1st level, you learn that living and undead creatures are the greatest works of art you quickly deciding that you can become the greatest by becoming a canvas for you unique and enhanced paint, after completing a ritual to give your palette and paint brush magical effects you set out on your journey to show the world how truly captivating you work are. You gain a magically infused and reinforced wooden palette and brush that you mentally control and gives any paint that made contact with it magical properties that only you can use. As a Bonus action you can use your paint brush to paint one of six colors onto yourself or on the current weapon you are using. The effects last for 1 minute or until the paint is washed off. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Intelligence modifier regaining expended uses after a long rest. The damage granted by Color Palette becomes magical at 5th level to overcome resistances. **Red** if you paint yourself you gain advantage on all Strength and Dexterity checks. If you paint your weapon you use your Intelligence modifier for all attack rolls instead of Strength or Dexterity. **Blue** if you paint yourself your movement speed increase by 15ft. If you paint your weapon you can add your Intelligence modifier to damage rolls once per turn. **Green** if you paint yourself you gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to your AC. If you paint your weapon you deal an extra 1d6 acid damage once per turn. **Orange** if you paint yourself you can add half your proficiency bonus (round up) to saving throws caused by magical effects. If you paint your weapon whenever you take the attack action you can make one additional attack adding half your proficiency bonus (round up) to the damage roll. **Yellow** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage. If you paint your weapon once per turn you can reroll an attack roll but you have to use the new roll. **Purple** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to fire, cold, and lightning damage. If you paint your weapon you deal an extra 1d6 fire, cold, or lightning damage once per turn. ## Unarmored Defense Beginning at 1st level, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a Shield, your AC equals 10 + your Intelligence modifier + your Dexterity modifier. \columnbreak ### Fighting Style At 2nd level, you adopt a particular style of fighting as your specialty. Choose one of the following options. You can’t take a Fighting Style option more than once, even if you later get to choose again. #### Archery You gain a +2 bonus to Attack Rolls you make with Ranged Weapons. #### Blind Fighting You have blindsight with a range of 10 feet. Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn't behind total cover, even if you're blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you. #### Dueling When you are wielding a melee weapon in one hand and no other Weapons, you gain a +2 bonus to Damage Rolls with that weapon. #### Great Weapon Fighting When you roll a 1 or 2 on a damage die for an Attack you make with a melee weapon that you are wielding with two hands, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll, even if the new roll is a 1 or a 2. The weapon must have the Two-Handed or Versatile property for you to gain this benefit. #### Two-Weapon Fighting When you engage in Two-Weapon Fighting, you can add your ability modifier to the damage of the second Attack. ## Artistic Vision At 3rd level, you developed your on style of painting as all great artist do which helps viewers and would be critics recognized your work. Your style can develope into either the Gothic Horror style, the Whimsical Delight style, or the Mundane Neutrality style. Your style grants features at the 3rd level and again at the 8th, 13th, and 18th levels. ## Ability Score Improvement When you reach 4th Level, and again at 7th, 12th, 17th, and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two Ability Scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature. \pagebreak ## Extra Attack Beginning at 5th Level, you can Attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on Your Turn. ## Imagery At the 6th level, you learn to bring a self portrait to life using it to aid you in battle for a short time. As an Action you create a life like full body self portrait with an AC 14 + your proficiency bonus, 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If it has to make a saving throw, it uses your saving throw bonus for the roll. It is the same size as you, and it occupies an empty space within 5ft of you. If your self portrait is ever more than 30 feet from you at the end of your turn, it is destroyed. As a Bonus action you can have it make an attack only adding your Intelligence modifier to its attack rolls. If a hostile creature hits it with a melee attack it explodes dealing 1d8 force damage. ## Palette Swap At the 9th level you learn to swap between the complementary colors on your palette swapping their effects in the heat of battle. As a Bonus action you can swap between the active color but the effect duration does not restart. **Red** and **Green** **Blue** and **Orange** **Yellow** and **Purple** ## True Colors At the 10th level, you can employ the use of your paint and painting skills to see behind lies and the truths kept hidden. You gain proficiency with Intelligence (Investigation), Wisdom (Insight), and Wisdom (Perception) checks. ## Blender At the 11th level, you learn how to mix the complementary colors together without losing their magical benefits. As a Bonus action you can use both complementary colors gaining the effects of both colors. Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again. Starting at 15th level, you can use it twice before a rest, but only once on the same turn. \columnbreak ## Gallery viewing At the 14th level, you learn to give your closest friends and allies a small peek at your artistic greatness painting either them or their weapon allowing them to experience your greatness for a short time. As an Action you can paint one of the six colors onto three friendly creatures, you can choose to paint the creature or their weapon. You can use this feature three times per long rest. ## It's All Referenced At the 16th level, you remember that any good artist worth their salt always use a reference with working on project. You can spend 1 minute studying a creature or a detailed picture using Color Palette to completely disguise yourself either mimicing their exact appearance or a slight variation of it. While disguised this way you can add half your Proficiency Bonus (round up) to Charisma checks you are not proficient with. You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Intelligence modifier regain expended uses after a long rest. ## Artistic Freedom At the 20th level, you became a true master of your craft and skillfully surpass all of those that try to out do you. You can now use Color Palette an amount of times equal to 2 x your Intelligence modifier per long rest, you can now adorn both yourself and your weapon in paint gaining the effects of both. \pagebreak ## Gothic Horror Style The Gothic Horror Style of Paint-slingers incorporate ghastly imagery along with dark and dreary backgrounds to help convey the darker sides of the many aspects of life sometimes take a mental toll on those that are exposed to it. #### As Dark as Night At the 3rd level, you add the ever useful color black to your Color Palette adding a dark twist to your art works. Whenever you use the Color Palette feature you can choose to add the color Black gaining an additional effect when using one of the six colors. **Red** if you paint yourself you can now impose disadvantage on all Strength and Dexterity checks to all creatures that can see you within 30ft. If you paint your weapon can deal an amount of psychic damage equal to your Intelligence modifier once per turn. **Blue** if you paint yourself you can now teleport to an unoccupied space you can see with 15ft. If you paint your weapon whenever you hit a creature you can regain an amount of hit points equal to your Intelligence modifier one per turn. **Green** if you paint yourself you gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to you AC + your Intelligence modifier. If you paint your weapon you deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage once per turn. **Orange** if you paint yourself you have advantage on saving throws caused by spells. If you paint your weapon you can use your Reaction to make an attack against a creature you can see within 20ft of you. **Yellow** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to psychic damage. If you paint your weapon you gain advantage on attack rolls. **Purple** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to necrotic and psychic damage. If you paint your weapon you can deal an extra 1d6 psychic damage once per turn. \columnbreak #### Dreary landscape At the 8th level, your choice of focusing on dark and somewhat depressing imagery and works of art tends to frighten those that that choose to view your works of art. As a Bonus action you can paint a 60ft radius sphere with Black centered on you, hodtile creatures inside had to make a Strength saving throw (8 + your Intelligence Modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) taking 3d8 necrotic damage and have their movement reduce to 10ft on a fail. Only taking the damage on a success. At the end of their turns they can redo the saving throw ending the effects on a success or until they leave the sphere. #### Striking View At the 13th level, the strong negative emotions your works convey can manifest into a creature with ill will towards those that threaten you and your work. As an Action you can cast Summon Undead at 7th level twice per long rest. You can gain an additional use by taking 3d8 necrotic damage and ending the current Color Palette effect, the necrotic damage dealt this way ignores any resistance you may currently have. #### In My Shadow At the 18th level, after becoming renown for your macabre style of art and how it effects the world you become a legendary artist. You yourself become a living work of art the mere sight of you able to elicit the same range of emotions as your work. During a long rest you can paint both yourself and your weapon in black symbols, glyphs, or shapes gaining the following benefits until you take another long rest, drop to 0 hit points, or outright die. Your movement speed is increased by 20ft. You deal an additional amount of necrotic damage equal to your AC. As a Bonus Action you can frighten creature within 60ft of you that can see or hear you, having to make a Wisdom saving throw the DC being the DC for your Dreary Landscape feature. Whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points you gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt. \pagebreak ## Whimsical Delight Style The Whimsical Delight Style of Paint-slingers choose to cheer up those that view their with the use of happy and relaxing imagery that sometimes have the effect of easing the viewer to sleep. #### Bright Light At the 3rd level, you add the hue intensifying color White to your Color Palette adding a brighter perspective to your art works. Whenever you use the Color Palette feature you can choose to add the color White gaining an additional effect. **Red** if you paint yourself you can now grant advantage on Strength and Dexterity checks to all friendly creature that can see you within 30ft. If you paint your weapon you can deal an amount of extra radiant damage equal to you Intelligence modifier. **Blue** if you paint yourself you gain a flying speed of 15ft. If you paint your weapon you can hit a friendly creature instantly ending a harmful effect. **Green** if you paint yourself you grant a friendly creature within 15ft of you an amount of temporary hit points equal to your AC + your Intelligence modifier. If you paint your weapon you deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage once per turn. **Orange** if you paint yourself you grant friendly creatures within 30ft of you advantage on saving throws caused by spells. If you paint your weapon you can use your Reaction to grant a friendly creature within 20ft of you an amount of hit points equal to you damage roll. **Yellow** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to thunder and radiant damage. If you paint your weapon you can reroll a damage die but you have to use the new roll. **Purple** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to radiant and force damage. If you paint your weapon you can deal and extra 1d6 thunder damage once per turn. \columnbreak #### Dream Land At the 8th level, your choice of focusing on sweet pleasant imagery and works of art put those that view it at ease the view becoming too relax and somewhat friendly to have any ill will towards you. Whenever you smear paint on yourself creatures that can see you within 30ft have to pass a Wisdom saving throw (8 + your Wisdom modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or be charmed by you for 1 minute of until the paint is washed off. At the end of each of its turns, the charmed creature can make a Wisdom saving throw. On a success, they are no longer charmed. #### Private Viewing At the 13th level, the strong positive emotions your works convey can manifest whenever a creature you consider a friend are hurt healing them even if they are on the brink of death. While Color Palette is active and you use the color White you can use your Reaction to grant a friendly creature within 15ft of you 1d8 hit points, it increases to 2d8 if they are reduced to 0 hit points. #### In the Light of Day At the 18th level, after becoming renown for your heavenly style of art and effects it has on those that view it you decided to lend a portion of your good will to your closest friends and allies allowing them to harbor the same fuzzy feelings that you carry and spread everyday. Whenever you use the color White along with your Color Palette feature you can grant its effects to three friendly creatures you can see within 40ft, the effects last until the end of their next turn. You can use this feature three times per long rest. \pagebreak ## Mundane Neutrality Style The Mundane Neutrality style of Paint-slingers choose to remain unknown, not caring for their time in the lime light. Instead doing their best to remain in the background forcing those that want to see their work either search high and low or stumble upon it to have a chance at viewing it. #### Lackluster At the 3rd level, you add the neutral yet ever needed colors Grey to your Color Palette adding a dulling layer to your art works. Whenever you use the Color Palette feature you can choose to add the color Brown gaining an additional effect when using one of the six colors. **Red** if you paint yourself you can add your Proficiency Bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks. If you paint your weapon you gain an extra damage die once per turn. **Blue** if you paint yourself a 15ft radius sphere centered on you becomes difficult terrain that moves with you. If you paint your weapon creatures you hit have their speed reduced by 15ft. **Green** if you paint yourself you gain an amount of temporary hit points equal to your AC + your Intelligence modifier. If you paint your weapon you can deal an extra 1d6 damage once per turn. **Orange** if you paint yourself you gain Darkvivsion unto 60ft and gain immunity to the Blinded and Deafen conditions. If you painted your weapon you can use your Reaction send out a 15ft cone of mundane energy dealing 1d6 force damage. **Yellow** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to force damage. If you painted your weapon you can deal max damage once per turn. **Purple** if you paint yourself you gain resistance to radiant, necrotic, and force damage. If you paint your weapon you deal an extra 1d6 slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage once per turn. \columnbreak #### Dim Disposition At the 8th level, only wanting to work in peace and for your own enjoyment you learn to punish those that try to take a gander at you private work. As a Reaction you splash creatures that can come within 60ft of you, they have to pass a Constitution saving throw (8 + your Constitution modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) or be Blinded and Deafen for 1 minute or until the paint is washed off. At the end of each of its turns, the Blinded and Deafen creature can make a Constitution saving throw. On a success, they are no longer Blinded and Deafen. #### Select Viewing At the 13th level, with mundane and somewhat boring emotions your works convey to those you allow to view or those who sneak a peek tends to have an explosive effect on them even though you don't want it to. While Color Palette is active and you use the color Brown you can use your Reaction to grant friendly creatures that can see you within 15ft 3d8 temporary hit points, those that hit them have to pass an Intelligence saving throw (8 + your Intelligence modifier + your Proficiency Bonus) on a fail they take 3d8 force damage. On a success they take half damage. While Color Palette is active and you use the color Brown you can use your Reaction to make a range attack against hostile creatures that come within 15ft of you dealing 1d8 force damage. #### Team Effort At the 18th level, despite efforts to keep your work out of sight of the masses you became renown, in hopes of reducing the attention you gave credit of your work to your closest friends and allies doing your best to fade into the background. Whenever you use the Color Palette feature you can grant its effects to a friendly creatures you can see within 40ft, the effects for 1 minute. You can use this feature three times per long rest.
