Iudex Gundyr's size changes to huge and he gains vulnerability to fire damage. > > ***Standing Leap.*** Iudex Gundyr's long jump is up to 40 feet and his high jump is up to 20 feet, with or without a running jump. > ### Actions > ***Multiattack.*** Iudex Gundyr makes three attacks, two with his halberd and one with his shoulder slam. If Iudex Gundyr has used his mythic trait, he instead makes two with his claw and one with his halberd. > > ***+1 Halberd.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. *Hit* 16 (2d10 + 5) slashing damage. > > ***Shoulder Slam.*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit* 9 (2d4 +4) bludgeoning damage. > > ***Claw (Mythic Only).*** *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. *Hit* 13 (2d8 +4) slashing damage. > > ***Leaping Slam (Recharge 5-6).*** Iudex Gundyr jumps to a spot he can see within 40 feet. When he lands, each creature within 10 feet of himself must succeed on a DC 14 Strength or Dexterity saving throw or take 14 (4d6) bludgeoning damage and 14 (4d6) slashing damage and becomes knocked prone. On a success they take half as much damage and do not become prone. If Iudex Gundyr lands in a space occupied by another creature, it is pushed 5 feet out of his space into an unoccupied space of the creature's choice. If no unoccupied space is within range, the creature instead falls prone in Iudex Gundyr's space. > ### Legendary Actions > Iudex Gundyr can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Iudex Gundyr regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn. > > **Move.** Iudex Gundyr moves up to his speed. > > **Halberd (2 actions).** Iudex Gundyr makes one halberd attack. > > ### Mythic Actions > If Iudex Gundyr's mythic trait is active, he can use the options below as legendary actions for 1 hour after using Puss of Man. > > **Warrior's Prowess.** Iudex Gundyr attempts to recharge his Leaping slam. > > **Devouring Serpent (3 actions).** Iudex Gundyr choose a creature within ten feet he can see, his serpent head attacking to bite them. That creature must succeed a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take 11 (2d6 +4) bludgeoning damage and becomes grappled. Iudex Gundyr then throws the grappled creature to a point he can see within 30 feet, taking an additional 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage. On a success the creature isn't grappled and takes no damage. Iudex Gundyr is enough of a challenge by himself, but if you truly wish to test your players use his Mythic Trait to add a truly Dark Souls-like challenge. Read or Paraphrase the following text when Iudex Gundyr uses his Puss of Man trait: *"Gundyr still stands even after the final blow is dealt. Things are silent for a moment for a hissing roar is heard.* *Exploding out of him is a black ever wriggling puss that grows into a serpent like head and claw made of bones. This fight is far from over."* Fighting Iudex Gundyr as a mythic encounter is the same as fighting two challenge rating 7 creatures in one encounter. Award a party 5,800 XP for defeating Iudex Gundyr after he uses Puss of Man.
