\pagebreak # druid circle of shadows Druids who are members of the Circle of shadows know that shadows are just as much a part of nature as land or moon. These druids are excellent fighters, mixing their mysterious umbral magic with martial prowess. #### Bonus proficiencies When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor and martial weapons. #### shadow strike Also at 2nd level, you can infuse your weapon attacks with umbral energy. You can add 1d6 necrotic damage to your next attack. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier. The damage increases by 1d6 at 7th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6), 14th level (4d6), 17th level (5d6), and 20th level (6d6). #### Umbral form At 6th level, you can take on an umbral form. In addition to the normal options for wildshape, you can wildshape into a shadow (mm page 269) or a smoke mephit (mm page 217). #### Shadowy resistance Starting at 10th level, your body becomes infused with umbral power. You gain resistance to force and necrotic damage. In addition, you can cast gaseous form at will, centered on yourself. #### Umbral master At 14th level, you become a master of umbral magic. When you use your umbral form, you can choose to turn into a wraith(mm page 302). Additionally, when you change into your umbral form, you can choose to gain immunity to necrotic or force damage (your choice) while you are in the form.
