Path of Rupturing Heavens

Barbarians of the Path of Rupturing Heavens channel their passion into to the pursuit of mastering the bow. By infusing their rage with divine energy these barbarians are some of the most feared archers in the world, though they are rarely seen as they spend most of their lives training in remote areas.

Some temples are lucky enough to have one of these master archers defending their gates and those that do are said to be near impenetrable.

Training in Solitude

Those who walk the path of rupturing heavens must train both their bodies and minds in nature to hone their skill with the bow. Choose or randomly determine a training spot that you use to hone your skills.

Training Spots
d4 Training Spot
1 You train at the summit of a mountain aiming arrows at creatures at its base.
2 You train at a waterfall and attempt to stop the waters flow with your arrows.
3 You train in a desert sniping scavenger birds at great distance.
4 You train in a tundra splitting great chunks of ice with your arrows.

One-Thousand Pound Draw Weight

At 3rd level, your intense training affords you the following benefits;

  • You can choose to use either your Strength or Dexterity modifier for attack and damage rolls when wielding either a short or long bow.
  • While you are raging you can add your rage damage bonus to the damage of your ranged weapon attacks. This bonus damage deals radiant damage.

Additionally, once per rage, you can supercharge an arrow with divine energy. When you hit a creature with a ranged weapon you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (8 + proficiency bonus + Constitution modifier). On a failed save, the creature is blinded until the start of your next turn.

Golden Reflex

Additionally, at 3rd level, you know how to take advantage of the momentum of effects meant to harm you to your advantage. When you succeed on a Dexterity saving throw you can, as a reaction, move up to half your movement speed.

Eagle eye

At 6th level, when you take the attack action to make a ranged weapon attack you can grant yourself advantage on the attack roll and you can roll one additional weapon damage die, you can do this a number of times equal to your Strength modifier and regain all uses after a long rest. Additionally, you can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 feet of you with your bow.

Emperor Stride

At 10th level, you have learned to harness divine energy to anchor yourself in space and bolster your movement. While raging you gain the ability to move along vertical surfaces and across liquids on Your Turn without Falling during the move. Additionally, you gain resistance to radiant damage.

Rupturing Heavens

At 14th level, all your focus and training has bared fruit. You can fire arrows as if they were meteors from the heavens themselves.

As an action, you can fire a number of arrows equal to your Strength modifier and you must make each attack individually. Each arrow deals an additional 2d8 radiant damage and any creatures within 15ft of a creature hit by these arrows takes radiant damage equal to your rage bonus damage. You can use this feature once per long rest.
