Spell: Viper Vine
Viper Vine
2nd-level conjuration
- Casting Time: 1 bonus action
- Range: 60 feet.
- Components: V, S, M (dried roots and stems)
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You create a poisonous thorny vine within range that lasts for the duration or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. When you cast the spell, you can make a ranged spell attack against a creature within 30 feet of the plant. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 piercing and 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier poison damage.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can move the plant causing it to reform up to 20 feet from its current position and repeat the attack against a creature within 30 feet of it.
The exact form that the plant takes can be whatever you choose and it uses whatever thorns it possesses to make the ranged attacks.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the piercing and poison damage increase by 1d6 for every two slot levels above 2nd.

While the spell herein suggests that the plant deals poison damage, it's possible that your plant might deal a different type of damage. A druid of the Circle of Wildfire might replace the poison damage with fire damage.
