### Path of the Twin Soul The overwhelming rage that fills a Barbarian in the heat of battle is often seen as overwhelming. For some, the wellspring of anger can almost grow to be too much to handle alone. Twin Soul Barbarians have found a way to avoid this, splitting their existence in two when their anger grows too much, taking only half of their rage for themselves and letting the other half free to unleash havoc upon their enemies. #### Soul Split When you choose this path at 3rd level, your rage splits your mind and body in two. When you enter your rage, you split into two physically identical versions of yourself. Each has as much HP as you entered your rage with, and has all items originally held. However, if either pulls out an item or uses a charge of a magical object, the item or charge disappears from the other copy's inventory. The original retains the features of being in a rage while the copy does not, though each are considered 'raging' for the purpose of being unable to cast spells. If the copy is hit with bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, both it and the original take full damage. Each copy acts independently on the same initiative, possessing an action, bonus action, and reaction to be spent as though they were separate creatures. However, any and all damage one copy takes is dealt to the other simultaneously. This applies for both single-target attacks and AOE effects, if a damaging AOE strikes both at the same time, they each take the damage from both being hit. Both copies of the creature know which one is 'real'. If the rage is ended, whether after the duration is over, by the Barbarian's choice, or due to being knocked unconscious, the additional version fades into mist while the original remains. Otherwise, each act independently and have no particular mental connection during the rage. #### Controlled Anger Starting at 6th level, your ability to split your rage makes it less draining on your psyche. You gain 1 additional use of your rage per long rest now, and 1 more at 12th level. #### Resounding Rage At 10th level, the connection between your split souls grows more powerful. Your copy now gains all features of your rage when you use your Soul Split feature. Additionally, when both you and your copy are within 5 feet of each other, when one lands a melee weapon attack on an creature, the other can use their reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the same creature. #### Force of Will Starting at 14th level, your copy exudes an aura while you're in a rage. The terrain within 15 feet of your copy becomes difficult terrain, and all creatures who enter the aura must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be unable to move further through the aura. The saving throw is repeated on the start of subsequent turns if they start their turn within the aura.
