Viperion

Racial Traits

Your viperion character has the following traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma and Constitution score increase by 1.

Age. Viperion mature at the rate of humans, but can live up to 150 years.

Size. Viperion are typically between 5 and 6 feet tall, with some standing over 7 feet. Your size is a Medium. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier:

Size Modifier = 2d12

Height = 5 feet + 6 inches + your size modifier in inches

Weight in pounds = 130 + (2d6 x your size modifier)

Speed. Your base walking or slithering speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Poison Resistance. Viperion have resistance against poison damage and have advantage on Constitution saving throws against being poisoned.

Innate Spellcasting. You know the poison spray cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast suggestion with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can cast tongues with this trait. Once you cast either, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Languages. You know Common, Draconic, and one other language of your choice.

Subrace. Choose one of these subraces

Lamia Viperion

These Viperion have the lower-body of a snake.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.

Lower Snake Physiology. Your base walking speed increases to 40 feet, but you count moving across stairs, ladders as difficult terrain, but aren't imposed difficult terrain on shifty surfaces like quicksand, mud, or other earthy terrain.

Malison Viperion

Malison Viperion act as muscle or body-guards, adapted to have stronger physical and defensive capabilities.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.

Natural Armor. Your scales are toughened by a life in the Frontier. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is 13 + Your Constitution modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.

Pureblood Viperion

The purebloods are the highest caste amongst the Viperion, who act as diplomats, spies, and similar agents.

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1. (Effectively meaning you have a +2 to Charisma overall by selecting this subrace).

Silver Tongued Instincts. You gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Insight, Intimidation, and Persuasion.

Psi-Charm. You can cast the charm person without requiring no components. In addition, when the spell ends, the creature does not know it was charmed by you. Once you cast this spell, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
