# Way of the Flying Dagger Focusing on daggers, monks who follow the way of the flying blade focus on throwing daggers rather than any sort of melee combat. They can throw daggers with amazing speed and precision, some even learning to channel their ki to make their daggers more powerful ### Master of Thrown Dagger Starting when you choose this monastic tradition at 3rd level, your experience using daggers grants you the following benefits: * You can draw a weapon that has the thrown property as part of the attack you make with the weapon. * Attacking at long range does not impose disadvantage when you make a thrown weapon attack. * When you use your flurry of blows, you may make an attack with a dagger in place of an unarmed strike. ### Magical Daggers Starting at 6th level, you learn to channel your ki into your daggers. Dagger attacks you make with a dagger count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage. In addition to this, you learn to use your daggers to parry incoming attacks. As a bonus action, you can take a defensive stance. As long as you are holding a dagger, you gain +3 AC until the start of your next turn ### Enhanced Daggers Starting at the 11th level, you can learn to use your ki to strike harder at your enemies. Whenever you hit with an attack using a dagger, you may spend a number of ki points up to a fifth your monk level, rounded down. For every ki point spent this way, you deal an extra 1d6 damage on a hit. Only one dagger can benefit from this feature per turn. ### Flurry of Daggers At the 17th level, you have mastered the art of throwing daggers. Whenever you take the attack action, you can spend 2 ki point to throw a second dagger with each of your attacks.
