Barbarian: Path of the Iron Fist

Those who walk the path of the iron fist rely on the tools nature gave them: their hands and their raw strength. These barbarians prefer the personal touch of fighting an enemy up close and personal, relishing in the opportunity to feel the power of each of their strikes. Iron Fist barbarians can be found all across Sanctum and the further realms as adventurers, brawlers, and mercenaries.

The dwarves of Valonde notably have a large population of iron fist barbarians, most likely due to their strong sense of honour, treacherous working conditions, and the copious amount of mead they drink on a daily basis.

Path of the Iron Fist Features
Barbarian Level Feature
3rd Raging Strikes
6th Strong Arm
10th Steel Resolve
14th Tenacious Conquerer

Raging Strikes

Beginning at 3rd level, while you are raging you can roll a d6 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strikes. Once on each of your turns while raging, when you deal damage with an unarmed strike against a creature, you can attempt a grapple against that creature (no action required).

Strong Arm

At 6th level, you have advantage on the Strength (Athletics) checks against creatures trying to escape your grapple.

In addition, your unarmed strikes score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20 against creatures that you are grappling.

Steel Resolve

At 10th level, while you are raging, you can add your Rage Damage bonus to any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution ability check or saving throw you make.

Tenacious Conquerer

When you reach 14th level, you gain the following benefits while you are raging:

  • You have resistance to all damage you take from a creature you are grappling.
  • When you miss with an unarmed strike against a creature you are grappling, you can use your reaction to make an unarmed strike against the same target.
  • When you drag a grappled creature, your speed isn't halved if the creature is your size or smaller.
