# Hikage's Magical Index Volume One. Your next GMBinder document here. ## Overview on Creating GMBinder uses markdown for its primary content. To learn about Markdown and its supporting syntax, [check this out](https://github.com/adam-p/markdown-here/wiki/Markdown-Cheatsheet) In addition, GM Binder allows for HTML content within your document. However, "User Beware" warnings apply. Especially now in this early stage. Using HTML for things like images and links is pretty safe. However, structured HTML like divs, tables, etc, may have undesired consequences. ## GMBinder Specific ### Page Breaks * Using `\pagebreak` will result in a page break. Or press `Ctrl+;` or `Cnd+;` to insert this. * Using `\pagebreakNUm` will result in a page break with page number. Or press `Ctrl+'` or `Cnd+'` to insert this. ### Links * Internal Links - Press Ctrl+Space to get a list of all of your document's headers. Press tab on one to insert the link into your document. ie: [Welcome to your next campaign binder!](#welcome-to-your-next-campaign-binder) * External Links - Using the standard markdown link syntax with an external URL will result in a link that opens a new tab. ie: [Staff of Darkening](https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/29957-staff-of-anti-thunder-and-darkening) * If you would like the actual URL to show in your external link, a simple solution is to simply wrap it with < and >. ie:
### Table of Contents In the menu above, you'll see a Table of Contents for your document. ### Images There are a couple ways you can place images. If you would like something positioned like you see on this page, you will need to provide the appropriate styles to do so. For example: `
` If you would like to place an image in-line within your content, simply providing an image tag with an external URL will be sufficient. Do be aware that your images should be sized appropriately for the content. \columnbreak ### Wrapping to Column Two Sometimes you want your content in column 1 to be cut short and continue on to column 2. The simplest way to accomplish this is to use: `\columnbreak` ___ You can also press `Ctrl+.` or `Cnd+.` to insert this. ### Footnotes This is an example of using html and built in styles to get a desired output. `

Part 2 | Your Introduction
First spell: Hikage's improved shrink 3rd level transmutation. Casting time: one minute. Range: one hundred feet. Components: S, M (a tiny object). Duration: until dispelled, or choice of caster. The target of this spell is shrunken to the closest size possible or higher. The maximum shrinkage before the nucleus collides with the electrons is 99.9999999999996% shrinkage. Too close and the atoms will be reduced to neutrons. It's mass does not disappear. The range does is not effected by how large the target is. Second spell: Hikage's mass cancel. 2nd level transmutation. Casting time: one action. Range: touch. Components: S, M (a feather). Duration: ten hours. The target does not have its mass effected by gravity for the diration. Third spell: Hikage's permeancy. 4th level transmutation. Casting time: one action. Range: five feet. Components: V. Duration: until dispelled. Target a spell effect. The spell effect's duration is changed to "until dispelled". This does not work on instantaneous spells. Third spell: Hikage's improved grow. 6th level transmutation. Casting time: one action. Range: touch. Components: S. Duration: ten hours. You can change its size to be 15 feet in each direction. However, each foot after that deals 10d6+40 damage, and can die as if by *disintergrate*. Fourth spell: Hikage's extradimensional drill. 4th level transmutation. Casting time: one action: Range: sight. Components: S, M (a small hand drill). Duration: permanent. This spell allows you to make an area up to a ten-foot cube extradimensional. The area is effectively like a *portable hole*, *Heward's handy haversack*, or *bag of holding* in terms of being extradimensional space. Casting a *dispel magic* spell at the level you used for this spell has no major effect, but there is a 40-50% chance that the space will cease to be extradimensional for 1d6+1d4 rounds. At higher levels: each extra spell slot increases the area of effect by ten feet. Magic Item first: shrinking paint. Wondrous item, rare. A creature painted with this magically self-replenishing paint gains the effect of *Hikage's improved shrink* for the duration, at maximum effect. Class options for wizard: More magical prowess: At level three, you are able to utilise the meta-magic and font of magic effects from sorceror, plus the following effects: extra spell - spend a point per level of spell. You may cast that spell in addition to your first spell. You don't have a spell maximum, but you can treat preparing spells like preparing meta-magic options. You can also use spell points, but with higher levels (treat all "sorcery points" as "spell points"): 1st: 2; 2nd: 3; 3rd: 5; 4th: 6; 5th: 7; 6th: 9; 7th: 10; 8th: 11; 9th: 13. They cannot use spell points to cast a higher level spell than they'd have slots for. Also, wizards can alse prepare Eldritch Invocations in a similar way, and can also try to make magic items much like an artificer does.
