#### Greater Speedy Courier *6th-level conjuration (ritual)* ___ - **Casting Time:** 1 action - **Range:** 15 feet - **Components:** V, S, M (40 gold pieces, or mineral goods of equivalent value, which the spell consumes or one chest miniature of a set of two, each worth at least 400 gp) - **Duration:** 1 hour - **Classes:** Warlock, Wizard ___ You summon a Medium air elemental to a spot within range. The air elemental is formless, nearly transparent, immune to all damage, and cannot interact with other creatures or objects. It carries an open, empty chest whose interior dimensions are four feet on each side. Besides a lid, the chest also has a latching mechanism on the front face by which the top two feet of the face can swing down, allowing easier access to the interior of the chest. While the spell lasts, you can deposit as many items inside the chest as will fit. You can then name a living creature you have met and seen at least once before or present a body part, such as a lock of hair or nail clipping, from a creature with which you are unfamiliar. When you do so, the elemental disappears with the chest, then reappears adjacent to the target creature. If the target creature is on another plane, or if it is proofed against magical detection or location, the elemental fails to deliver the chest. Upon delivery, the target creature is made aware of the chest’s contents before it chooses whether or not to open it. It also learns how long it has before the chest is returned. No other creature can open the chest, access its contents, or stow objects in it. The elemental stays with the chest until either the spell expires or the target creature orders the elemental to return the chest to you. Before that time, the target creature may freely take objects from and place objects into the chest. When the elemental returns the chest (either because it couldn't deliver it to the target, the target ordered it to return, or the spell ended), it reappears adjacent to you, deposits the chest on the ground, and disappears. You are made aware of the contents of the chest before you choose whether or not to open it. The chest disappears and spills its contents in ten minutes or when the spell expires, whichever is longer. If you cast this spell using the chest miniature as the material component, you may only send the chest to the owner of the other chest miniature in the set. You can designate a creature as the owner of a chest miniature with a special ritual casting of this spell when you, the creature, and both miniatures are within range. The elemental fails to find the target if you cast the spell in this way and the target is more than 500 feet from its chest miniature. When you cast this spell ritually, you may only cast it using a chest miniature as the material component. ***At Higher Levels.*** When you cast this spell using an 8th- or 9th-level spell slot, you can send the chest to a creature on a different plane of existence from you.
