Stone Sorcerer 1.1

Your magic springs from a mystical link between your soul and the magic of elemental earth. You might trace a distant ancestor to the Plane of Earth, or your family might have earned a mighty boon in return for a service to the dao lords. Whatever your past, the magic of elemental earth is yours to command. Your link to earth magic grants you extraordinary resilience, and mastery over geomantic magic.

Heart of Stone

At 1st level, your magical affinity for the element of earth manifests in a number of ways.

You are able to communicate with elemental beings though speaking primordial (Teran).

You're awareness is heightened through the vibrations in the material around you. You gain proficiency in perception.

You also have access to an expanded selection of spells. When choosing a new spell you may pick from the additional spells in the Geomantic Spells List. These spells count as sorcerer spells for you.

Stone Strike - Evocation Cantrip

Casting Time: 1 action

Range: 30ft

Components: S,M

You manipulate the earthen elements in the world around you to make powerful offensive blows.

Make a spell attack against an enemy within 30 feet. The attack does 1d12 bludgeoning damage. The damage is considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistance. At 5th level the attack does 2d12, 11th level 3d12, 17th level 4d12.

Stone's Durability

Your connection to stone gives you extra fortitude. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class.

As an action, you can gain a base AC of 13 + your Constitution modifier if you aren’t wearing armor, and your skin assumes a stony appearance. In addition, your unarmed strikes become 1d8 plus your constitution modifier. This effect lasts until you end it as a bonus action, you are incapacitated, or you don armor other than a shield.

This ability increases your density and durability. As such you are at a disadvantage in water. When moving in water your speed is rediueced by 10 feet and make any checks associated with mobility at disadvantage.

Pyroclastic Flow

At 6th level, you learn to manipulate stone into it’s molten form, empowering your geomantic magic. When you cast a spell from the Geomantic Spell List which deals damage, you may spend 2 sorcery points to deal an additional d12 fire damage. You gain an additional d12 fire damage for each subsequent point spent, with a limit of 4d12 damage. You can spend 3 Sorcery points at 6th level, 4 Points at 11th level, and 5 points at 17th level.

You also gain a 20ft burrowing speed.

Ferrous

At 14th level you gain tremor sense to 30ft and cannot be surprised by creatures touching the ground in that area.

You can manipulate and control metal exactly as you would earth or stone when using spells from the Geomantic Spell List. The metal must within the radius of your tremor sense to do so.

Tectonic Confluence

At 18th level you are a source of geomantic power and can channel magics directly from the plane of earth. When you cast a spell which requires earthen material to manipulate and there is none in the vicinity, you can conjure it into existence as part of the spell. Additionally, you gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, slashing and piercing whilst in your Stone’s Durability form.

Sources/Inspiration

The Subclass concept is taken from old UA and changed. Some of the features are homebrew, and others are adapted from the UA. Other features are influenced/adapted by existing stone sorcerer HB which can be found on GM BUnder, and also from the popular Incarnate - Last of the Lacers HB; a really awesome Avatar treatment for 5e which can be found on GM's Guild.
