Sacred Oath: Oath of Cannabis
Sacred Oath
At 3rd level, a paladin gains the Sacred Oath feature, which offers you the choice of a subclass. The following option is available to you when making that choice.
Oath of Cannabis
Cannabis is an herb that can be used for various purposes, including consumption as a psychosomatic drug for recreational or medicinal purposes. Stoner Paladins, also known as Pothead Paladins, defend and propagate the use of this weed, and are granted supernatural powers from its consumption.
Tenets of Cannabis
A Stoner Paladin values their weed and their freedom above all else.
Fight for Legalization. If you find yourself in a land where cannabis is not legalized, join the efforts to make it legal. It is an individual freedom that should not be disturbed.
Roll Your Own Joints, But Accept One If You Are Offered. You should get your own weed, if possible, by growing it. But if a friendly person offers you a joint, it is impolite to refuse the offer.
Spread the Practice, But Wisely. Teach people about the benefits of using cannabis, but do not impose your practices on those who do not want to, and do not offer your weed to minors.

Dry Coconut Pipe
3rd-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You gain proficiency with woodcarver’s tools and the herbalism kit.
In addition, at the end of a long rest, you can perform a ceremony to obtain a sacred instrument of your oath: a bamboo and dry coconut pipe. You can use the Pipe as a spellcasting focus for your paladin spells.
If the Pipe is destroyed or lost, you can get a new one by performing a new ceremony at the end of a long rest. The previous Pipe, if it still exists, melts into a strong-smelling smoke.
Oath Spells
3rd-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

| Paladin Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 3rd | charm person, fog cloud |
| 5th | locate animals or plants, misty step |

| 13th | confusion, summon elemental (only air elemental) |

Channel Divinity
3rd-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You get the following two Channel Divinity options.
Stunning Puff. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to suffocate your opponents. By dragging from your Dry Coconut Pipe, you can blow a cloud of smoke in a 15 feet cone. Each creature in the affected area must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or become poisoned until the end of its next turn. This feature does not work on creatures that don’t need to breathe.
For Medicinal Purposes. As a bonus action, you or a willing creature within 5 feet of you can drag from your Dry Coconut Pipe to improve your health. The affected creature gains temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + half your paladin level (minimum of 1 temporary hit point). If you use this Channel Divinity option on a creature other than yourself, they need to use their reaction to receive this benefit.
Aura of High
7th-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You emanate an aura while you are not incapacitated. You or any creature of your choice within 5 feet of you can gain advantage on a Charisma check or a Charisma saving throw, plus a bonus on that check equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of +1). Once a creature benefits from this trait, no other creature can do so until you finish a short or long rest.
When you reach the 18th level in this class, the range of this aura increases to 10 feet
Noxious Fumes
15th-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You learn to drag with such speed that you are able to use your puffs to defend yourself. When you are targeted by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to drag from your Dry Coconut Pipe and blow a puff of smoke into your attacker's face, granting them disadvantage on every attack he makes on that round. If you’re still hit by these attacks, you have resistance to the attack's damage.
This feature does not work on creatures that do not need to breathe or are immune to the poisoned condition.
Marijuana Avatar
20th-level Oath of Cannabis feature
You gain the ability to become the ideal representation of a true pothead. As an action, you take a deep drag from your Dry Coconut Pipe and become that avatar, while a soft reggae beat resonates around you, audible from up to 300 feet away for 1 minute. For that duration, you also get the following benefits:
- You gain truesight with a range of 120 feet.
- You emanate an aura of munchies with a 6 foot radius. Hostile creatures within that aura must succeed on a Constitution saving throw at the start of each of their turns, or suffer 1 level of exhaustion while inside the aura. If they leave the aura, the affected creatures’ exhaustion level is decreased by 1 at the end of each of their turns.
- You cannot be charmed, frightened, or possessed.
- When you deal damage with your Divine Smite and Improved Divine Smite features, you can make them deal poison damage instead of radiant damage. If you do this, the damage die for those features becomes d10s, and instead of dealing additional damage to fiends and undead, you deal additional damage to humanoids.
After using this feature, you cannot use it again until you have finished a long rest, unless you spend a 5th level spell slot to use it again.
