# Cleric Divine Domain: Ash Domain For new life to flourish, the old growth must be burned away; clerics of the ash domain know this well, as they espouse the virtues of gods of both life and death. The ash domain’s philosophy centres on rebirth, and they often prefer to remain in one place so that they can help new life to flourish out of the devastation they first bring. Rebirth is not the same as forgiveness however, and as gentle as the priest building a community centre may seem, remember the corrupt temple that burned to make room for it. ##### Ash Domain Spells | Cleric Level | Spells | |:---:|:-----------:| | 1st | *Cure Wounds, Searing Smite* | | 2nd | *Flame Blade, Prayer of Healing* | | 3rd | *Fireball, Revivify* | | 4th | *Death Ward, Fire Shield* | | 5th | *Immolation, Greater Restoration* | ### Bonus Cantrip When you choose this domain at 1st level, you gain the *firebolt* cantrip. This counts as a cleric spell for you, but does not count against the number of cleric cantrips you know. ### Nought but Cinder From 1st level, your flames burn hotter with the ferocity of the divine behind them. Once on each of your turns, when you deal fire damage to a creature, you may choose to deal additional fire damage to it equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1). ### Channel Divinity: Rising Phoenix Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to restore your allies to life. When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you is reduced to 0 hit points, you may use your reaction to cause it to drop to 1 hit point instead. This prevention of death is accompanied by a burst of heavenly flame; creatures of your choice within 10 feet of the target take fire damage equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1 damage). ### Channel Divinity: Revitalising Ash From 6th level, you gain a new use for your Channel Divinity. As an action, choose a creature you can see within 30 feet of you; all Small or larger corpses within 15 feet of the creature are consumed in magical flames, which are then drawn into the creature to restore 5 hit points to it per corpse. Each corpse is utterly destroyed by this effect. \columnbreak ### Divine Strike Beginning at 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with fire – a gift from your deity. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 fire damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8. ### Renewed Clarity At 17th level, you learn to apply your philosophy inward, turning damage dealt to you into an opportunity for growth. As a reaction to taking damage, you may replace one spell you have prepared with another you do not.
